Week 4 State of the Divisions (10-07-2026)

FFC East

This division may be the most cut and dry. The only remaining undefeated team Matt Attack is 4-0 and has a two game lead over second place and more importantly, divisional wins against each division opponent. Matt Attack leads the league in scoring and looks like they have the best RB in the league, best TE in the league and breakout stars like Parker Washington. Established vets like Dak Prescott and Zay Flowers have also put together an impressive September and look like they are poised for career years. Simply put, this team has no weaknesses in the starting lineup, but look a little thin on the bench. This team is the heavy Superbowl favorite after four weeks.

At 2-2, Mahomies’ Deezflated Nuts is in second place with two victories against Neighbor Nic who is in last place currently. After a month, it’s clear this team has concerns at the running back position but are solid everywhere else. Joe Burrow is always a question of health and he’s been delivering so far. Ceedee Lamb just came off a career game and is currently the WR2 on the season. Michael Wilson looks like a great bargain at WR2 and is an absolute target hog on a pass happy Cardinals offense. Wilson has secured THIRTY targets in the last two games combined and is getting every opportunity to jump into WR1 status. This team is awaiting the return of Breece Hall and they look like a solid wildcard contender.

At 1-3, Moore on the Run looks like a clear third place in the division. Ja’Marr Chase may be set to miss a game or two on the concussion protocol which already hurts a team that is not scoring a lot of points. The QB situation is abysmal with Justin Herbert playing the worst football of his career and is being benched for the likes of Tyson Bagent. I like Jaylen Warren, Colston Loveland, Denzel Boston and Christian Watson as blue chippers but this team has not been able to get any consistent scoring. The talent is there, but the production has been poor in the first four games of the season.

The Favorite: Matt Attack
The Wildcard: Mahomies’ Deezflated Nuts
Need to see improvement: Moore on the Run

FFC South

The South looked like a three horse race, but one team has steadily gained the lead after climbing the power rankings the first four weeks. Bruce has been Almighty with all the superstars smashing their ADP in the first month. You can’t start with anyone besides JSN who leads all fantasy receivers in scoring and has six touchdowns in four games on pace for a monster season. Patrick Mahomes and Javonte Williams round out the big three of players who are carrying this team. After that, I see a noticeable drop off in the starters but there are some good bench pieces with Ollie Gordon, Jacoby Brissett, Tyjae Spears and Quentin Johnston all being viable bye week fill-ins.

The Craters lead the division in points scored and were a late Tyler Shough touchdown away from being tied for first place in the division. While their RB1 Chase Brown has been disappointing so far, there might be a clear path for him to get a massive boost in his value with injuries to other stars on the Bengals team. Trey McBride has been the runaway best tight end in the league in the first four weeks and really only contends with Brock Bowers for TE1 on the season. This team has the #1 ranked defense and #2 ranked kicker which provides a small edge on a week to week basis.

Uur UPS is a team who got off to a strong start but has been riddled with injuries starting with the star quarterback Caleb Williams who looked like he was en route to a top 5 QB finish this season. Egbuka has been hampered by injuries to Tampa Bay’s quarterback and inconsistent play at the position. Outside of Bijan, who is a bonafide stud, this team is struggling to find consistency. I like the bench a lot with players like Emmanuel Wilson, Kendre Miller and De’Vaughn Vele all could be starting for other teams and could be immediate impact fill ins. An important thing to note is Uur UPS and Bruce Almighty split the season head to head series 1-1 which will have potential playoff seeding implications down the road.

The doctor started off slow and got a crucial victory in Week 4 to avoid an 0-4 start. It was an ominous start to the season on the Wednesday night season opener when AJ Brown went down with an injury and Drake Maye looked rattled for three weeks after. With Tyler Shough on the bench, it will potentially lend itself to a QB controversy and provide ammo for a trade. The doc has been let down by players like Omarion Hampton and Carnell Tate. It’s hard to be too excited about this roster as currently constructed and they will need to hit the waiver wire and trade block hard.

The Favorite: Bruce Almighty and Da Moon’s Huge Craters a little behind
The Wildcard: Mahomies’ Deezflated Nuts
Need to see improvement: Moore on the Run

FFC West

This division is heavily segregated: two heavy favorites and two teams lagging behind. Cloud 9 and Game of Zones split the season series 1-1 and they are the early favorites. After the Matt Attack, I would say these are the two best teams in the league. They are very similar in their starting roster construction, but Game of Zones gets the edge with a stronger bench. Starting with Game of Zones, they have hit their head on the ceiling with a monster 150 point game early in the season and previewed their full firepower capability. Jared Goff is in an ideal fantasy situation where he will have the ability to air it out and has a terrible defense that will always turn their games into shootouts. Before the season, I had Jared Goff and Brock Purdy as my darkhorse MVP picks and I feel pretty good about that prediction still. James Cook and Kyren Williams make the best running back duo in the league bar none. The receivers are where Game of Zones fall a little short where Davante with a healthy Puka is relegated to a WR2 and Ladd McConkey can’t seem to stay healthy. The running back depth is excellent with players like Kamara, Braelon Allen and Tyler Allgeier providing fantastic backup value and possible trade assets to upgrade a wide receiver.

Cloud 9 went wide receiver heavy in the draft and it really shows with how stacked they are at the position, trotting out Chris Olave, Luther Burden, George Pickens and Tucker Kraft. While Pickens is off to a slow start, I expect him to pick it up in that fast paced offense that is on a historic pace for points scored. Kraft will be more involved in the offense as his health improves and his routes run rate steadily climbs. Jahmyr Gibbs was the first pick in the draft and he has been exactly what every fantasy manager has dreamed of and more. Same for Goff, I love the situation with Purdy where he will be playing with arguably the most talented group of pass catchers he has had in his career. The bench is a little thin for Cloud 9 and they will rely on Jordan Mason returning and taking over the job in Minnesota and RJ Harvey playing a bigger role in Denver.

The Garbage Dumps also went wide receiver heavy in the draft, but have struggled at the running back position because of it. After a great start to the season with three touchdowns, David Montgomery has cooled off significantly and looks to be in a full blown 50/50 timeshare with Woody Marks which will be frustrating to navigate. Amon’Ra St. Brown is Mr. Consistent and Nico Collins recently returned from injury and posted his best statline of the season. I’m not a believer in Jordan Love or Aaron Rodgers as season long answers at the quarterback position.

The Spartans also went wide receiver heavy to complement Christian McCaffrey as their hero RB. McCaffrey’s usage has been surprising this season with his yards per carry and snap route declining, but he is kept afloat with his touchdowns. Lamar Jackson is now facing a multiweek injury which could be devastating after a 1-3 start to the fantasy season. Geno Smith will be an up and down quarterback to fill in temporarily but not a long-term solution. Rostering three defenses when you need bench support is always puzzling to me and I expect the Spartans to attack free agency heavily where they have been successful in the past.

The Favorites: Game of Zones and Cloud9 will be neck and neck but I give the slight edge to Game of Zones due to bench strength.
The Wildcards: None.
Need to see Improvement: PGD and the Spartans both fit in this category for now.

FFC North

After a strong 3-0 start, Goal Post Malone faced their first defeat of the season and saw a combination of bad games from Travis Kelce, D’Andre Swift and Matt Stafford who have all been playing strong to start the season. There are no question marks surrounding Jonathan Taylor who continues to dominate fantasy football at the running back position and will be the cornerstone for this team. I expect Kelce and Swift to bounce back and love both of them for a season long outlook. Stafford will naturally have some regression from his MVP season a year ago, but should still see a lot of opportunity to finish top 10 with how elite his offensive weapons are.

The Isla Sorna Raptors have bulldozed their way to a 3-1 start with a strong running attack from players like Derrick Henry and De’Von Achane before he was lost for the season with injury. While NFL pundits are lamenting the woes of the Philadelphia Eagles and Jalen Hurts, he’s still fine in fantasy as long as they keep counting rushing stats for quarterbacks and they have not shied away from the tush push. Tet McMillan had his 2026 breakout game this past Sunday and flashed elite WR1 status, but this team is still a little behind some of the other contenders at the WR position. The Achane injury will hurt and while Aaron Jones can provide solid RB2 value for the time being, his workload might get cut down when Jordan Mason returns from injury.

The Jedi Knights started off horrendously with a franchise worst 0-3 start, but secured their first victory in Week 4. Their woes at quarterback continue as Marcus Mariota was knocked out of the game and now the only healthy quarterback on the roster is a rookie Jalon Daniels on Tampa Bay who will not be a reliable option with his propensity to turn the ball over. The pass catchers in Drake London (now improved with Michael Penix) and Puka Nacua rival some of the best pass catching duos in the league and are the strength of this team. I love Tyler Warren as a tight end and would like to see the team scheme up some short yardage rushing opportunities for them like they did in 2025. The bench does not move me too much, but the problem at quarterback has reached calamity status.

Niner Mania has a solid well rounded roster, but has gotten some bad schedule luck and are ranked 3rd in points scored against. Ashton Jeanty, Garrett Wilson, Harold Fannin and Justin Jefferson are all excellent players and I don’t really understand why this team has underperformed. Bo Nix has had a shaky year but his second half comeback rallies have carried over to 2026 and he has been dominating third and fourth quarters. This is probably my favorite 1-win team and I can see them making a run in the middle part of the season.

The Favorites: Goal Post Malone
The Wildcards: Isla Sorna Raptors & Niner Mania
Need to see Improvement: Jedi Knights
