1.) Da Moon’s Huge Craters
Overall Record: 7-2
Divisional Record: 4-0
Total Points Scored: 829.2
Position Last Week: 1
Notes: With a disastrous two interception Sunday night game, Matthew Stafford fell a little short of completing a comeback and the Craters suffer their second loss of the season. The good news is that with Bruce and UPS both losing the Craters did not lose any ground in their massive three game lead for the division.
2.) Korriban Warriors
Overall Record: 6-3
Divisional Record: 3-1
Total Points Scored: 851.2
Position Last Week: 4
Notes: The Warriors returned back to dominant form in Week 9 after a couple of shaky weeks in the middle of the season. If you haven’t bought any Jonathan Taylor stock in the last month after I’ve been pumping it, you may have missed your opportunity as he looks like the best running back in fantasy.
3.) Sacramento Wolf Pack
Overall Record: 6-3
Divisional Record: 3-1
Total Points Scored: 764.5
Position Last Week: 5
Notes: The Wolf Pack wrestled back control of the division after ceding it for one week which shows how contentious this FFC West race will get down to the final wire. Circle your calendars for the Week 13 matchup between the Wolf Pack and Lin Sanity as the first playoff game of the year potentially.
4.) Gandalf the Goat
Overall Record: 6-3
Divisional Record: 3-1
Total Points Scored: 754.5
Position Last Week: 3
Notes: Throw this week away as an outlier, this roster is still stacked and poised to walk away with an easy division crown. Josh Allen’s out of character turnover-fest against Jacksonville is just proof that any team can win any given Sunday.
5.) Lin Sanity
Overall Record: 5-3
Divisional Record: 3-1
Total Points Scored: 767.7
Position Last Week: 2
Notes: With DK Metcalf and Mike Evans on bye, this was one of the harder bye weeks for this team to navigate and they did not have much to show for with a season low in points. Expect a strong bounce back and exciting race to the finish line.
6.) Pool of the Dead
Overall Record: 6-3
Divisional Record: 2-2
Total Points Scored: 890.5
Position Last Week: 3
Notes: One week after life without Derrick Henry begins and the Pool put up a solid game with solid contributions from Donovan Peoples-Jones and Big Ben Roethlisberger. With thin depth at the running back spot, I expect this squad to rely on four-receiver sets in the future and welcome the return of Antonio Brown soon.
7.) Jedi Knights
Overall Record: 6-3
Divisional Record: 1-3
Total Points Scored: 675.8
Position Last Week: 7
Notes: The hottest team in the league keeps rolling on a massive five game win streak to a strong 6-3 start. With just five weeks left and a two game lead over the rest of the league, the Jedi Knights look to ride this momentum into the playoffs and possibly a division title.
8.) Uur UPS
Overall Record: 4-5
Divisional Record: 2-2
Total Points Scored: 752
Position Last Week: 10
Notes: Undoubtedly my jinxing power of prematurely crowning this team led to them with their worst loss of the season and now behind the wildcard chase by a hefty two game deficit. The quarterbacks have become a real problem with all of the turnovers to the point where Sam Darnold is not even startable anymore.
9.) Ernie’s Rubber Duckies
Overall Record: 4-5
Divisional Record: 2-2
Total Points Scored: 691.7
Position Last Week: 11
Notes: Winning a game while scoring under 40 points is quite an accomplishment that I’m not sure I’ve seen before in league history. With key players like Kyler Murray and Kareem Hunt on the injury block, it’s hard to see a playoff path for this squad.
10.) Bruce Almightys
Overall Record: 4-5
Divisional Record: 1-3
Total Points Scored: 765.6
Position Last Week: 9
Notes: One week after his best 28 point fantasy performance, Nick Chubb will now potentially miss his week 10 game unless he can provide two negative COVID tests. I love this team’s depth and talent so the record is very puzzling to me.
11.) Hot Pocket Hot Locket
Overall Record: 4-5
Divisional Record: 2-2
Total Points Scored: 611.6
Position Last Week: 8
Notes: It’s not many times you’ll see one fantasy player account for 80% of the entire team’s fantasy output but we saw that with Justin Herbert. The one bright spot is that Chris Carson will return from IR potentially this week.
12.) Elk Grove Spartans
Overall Record: 3-6
Divisional Record: 2-2
Total Points Scored: 718.8
Position Last Week: 13
Notes: I think it’s time to recognize James Conner is a set it and forget it RB1 for the rest of the season. With five touchdowns in the last two weeks and maximum volume in a high powered offense, Conner has returned back to 2018 Pittsburgh form.
13.) Dr. Jenious
Overall Record: 3-6
Divisional Record: 1-3
Total Points Scored: 630.4
Position Last Week: 15
Notes: Cordarelle Patterson, arguably the breakout star of 2021, has scored double digit points in every week this season with the exception of Week 1. This team desperately needs James Robinson to return to provide the consistent RB1 production to pair with Patterson.
14.) SLAM BALL 2K21
Overall Record: 3-6
Divisional Record: 2-2
Total Points Scored: 667.2
Position Last Week: 12
Notes: Has anyone seen any good movies lately?
15.) Mahomies’ Deezflated Nuts
Overall Record: 2-7
Divisional Record: 1-3
Total Points Scored: 714.3
Position Last Week: 15
Notes: When you look at this team on paper, the 2-7 record makes no sense but it’s looking to be like that type of disaster season for MD Nuts where nothing goes right. Travis Kelce snapped a three game dry streak when he found the end zone in Week 9.
16.) Philippines Garbage Dumps
Overall Record: 2-7
Divisional Record: 0-4
Total Points Scored: 506.5
Position Last Week: 16
Notes: Another big upset for the PGD who knock off a second quality opponent in an attempt to salvage a forgettable season. Michael Pittman (currently ranked WR8!) has scored five touchdowns in the last five weeks and looks to be like another strong contender for breakout player of the year.
