#1 Philippines Garbage Dumps vs #2 Da Moon’s HUGE Craters
Quarterbacks
PGD will look to continue to play QB carousel and elect to start Stafford.
Stafford is going up against a weaker Falcons secondary that is ranked 24th in fantasy vs opposing QBs. He should have a good game.
The Craters will stick to their OG QB Baker who is going up against a similarly middle of the pack Dolphins secondary. Baker has more offensive weapons as all of his WRs are healthy while Stafford is missing DeVante Adams.
Given Stafford’s set of weapons at RB and TE, he should have have an edge on Baker.
Winner: PGD
Running Backs
PGD is going with Devon Achane and Jonathan Taylor, both are ranked 5th and 6th respectively this week. Tampa Bay has been giving up many yards on the ground and Achane should continue to be featured heavily in the Miami offense, he should have a good game. The bigger concern is Jonathan Taylor. After not getting anything going in the run game last week, will he bounce back? Since Daniel Jones’ injury, Taylor’s averages and yards have fallen off significantly. The Colts still have a small chance at playoffs so he should be featured but he’s got a tougher match up against the Jaguars.
James Cook is ranked 8th, Kyren Williams is ranked 16th. Cook is going to be leaned on heavily vs Philly. With Allen’s foot injury Cook will be needed even more for the run game. Kyren can have a great game too , the question is how many carries will he get. Blake Corum continues to get more work. Falcons defense is not as good vs the run so he should outplay his projection.
Winner: Despite the rankings and projections I believe the RB battle will be a lot closer, and too close to call.
Wide Receivers and Tight Ends
PGD will be employing the line up of Amon Ra St.Brown , Jauan Jennings, and Chris Olave.
Amon Ra is going up against a tough Vikings defense and is also questionable with a knee injury. In the last couple of match ups the Vikings have absolutely blitzed the living daylights out of Goff. Goff has adapted and picked apart the Vikings blitzes. Amon Ra is going to be key to winning for the PGD, if he’s healthy he should be able to produce and help the PGD win. He is ranked 5th this week.
Olave is ranked right below Amon Ra and has a favorable situation vs the Titans. He continues to get many targets and is coming off his best game of the season.
Jennings is a lower volume high TD upside WR. He has a great match up vs the Bears this week who are surprisingly almost dead last in the league against opposing WRs.
Craters will be using Kyle Pitts, Alec Pierce, and Zay Flowers.
Flowers has a tougher matchup vs the Packers, and is ranked 20th.
Kyle Pitts is TE3 this week and has an excellent match up vs the Rams. He will most likely anchor the receiving weapons for the craters and should have a good game.
Alec Pierce is ranked 36th. He absolutely exploded last week vs the 49ers but his overall target share is still quite low. Given that the Colts are going to switch to Riley Leonard at QB this week, it’s unclear how many looks he will get. The Jaguars are a tougher match up and the #1 seed is still in play for the AFC. It should be a tough game for the Colts.
Winner: PGD has 3 WRs in the Top 10 for this week and should have the edge for WR/TE
Defense:
PGD going with the Giants vs the Raiders. The Giants are currently ranked 15th vs the lowly LV Raiders. Surprisingly the Chargers are actually ranked much higher but face a tougher opponent in Houston.
Craters going with Bengals at home vs the Arizona Cardinals ranked 17th overall.
Kicking:
Mevis has a top5 match up this week and is projected for a good game. Reichard has a slightly worse matchup with the Lions and is ranked 23rd. Despite these rankings the Vikings should be in a position to kick more field goals.
Winner: Craters
Given the advantage at WR, QB , and overall better matchups this week the PGD should win their 3rd overall franchise championship. Becoming only the 2nd franchise in league history to reach 3 championships. Finally winning a championship in the current century.
