Week 10 Mixed Bag (11-12-2025)

The PGD make history!

I’d like to formally congratulate the Philippines Garbage Dumps for grabbing the new weekly high scoring record with 161.2 fantasy points, beating the previous 10-year record held by Da Moon’s Huge Craters at 158 points. The week high scorer was Jonathan Taylor who put up 46.60 fantasy points on 32 carries for 244 yards, three touchdowns and caught three passes for 42 yards. As a side note, I would have to imagine this record will stay in tact for quite some time with the return of the TE slot next year, removing a high scoring WR position.

Late Season Saviors

The news that Joe Burrow could set to make his return from the Injured Reserve in Week 14 created some interesting hypotheticals. If Gandalf the Goat could get into the playoffs with a returning Joe Burrow, that would potentially be a huge late season boost to their championship prospects. In other news, two rookie running backs got significantly elevated in their teams’ offenses via expanded roles. Trey’Veon Henderson finally showcased his preseason hype with a breakout two-touchdown game including a long 70 yard touchdown rush to ice the game. His counterpart RJ Harvey will look to have an expanded role as the starting running back for the Denver Broncos with starter JK Dobbins possibly headed to the IR. Henderson on Cloud 9 and Harvey on Uur UPS provide solid RB boosts to two wildcard teams gutting it out to get back in first place of their divisions.

Is Parity Destroyed this season?

Usually at this point of the season, you are able to identify 6-7 legitimate contenders who can win the championship and there might even be 1-2 darkhorse teams who go on a run late in the season. This season we are seeing two teams completely destroy the curve and annihilate their opponents en route to what appears to be a clear Superbowl matchup. It is rare for a team to average 100 fantasy points a game and this season we have nearly two teams doing it. The #1 seed Philippines Garbage Dumps just hit that mark after putting up a historic 161 fantasy point week and the current #4 seed Jedi Knights have averaged 100 pts/game for most of the season until they recently fell out and dropped to 99.89. After these two teams you have a near 10 point drop-off to the third place UPS who is averaging 91.93 fantasy points a game which is nothing to sneeze at. Usually you would see the top team averaging 92 fantasy points a game but we have two teams averaging almost 10 points over that. The league average is 84.16 fantasy points per game which is right around the typical league average. Now imagine having to face a team averaging 20 points higher than that in your playoff matchups. Good luck everyone…
