1.) Cloud 9
Overall Record: 7-1
Divisional Record: 3-1
Total Points Scored: 758.58
Position Last Week: 1
Notes: Ladd McConkey and D’Andre Swift each scored a long touchdown late on Sunday afternoon to storm back and win a very close and competitive game. At 7-1, Cloud 9 is looking like the Superbowl favorite over the halfway point of the season.
2.) Elk Grove Spartans
Overall Record: 6-2
Divisional Record: 4-0
Total Points Scored: 724.42
Position Last Week: 2
Notes: On national tight end day, George Kittle caught six passes for 128 yards and a touchdown to beat his rival Dallas Cowboys on Sunday Night Football. The Spartans are in a close three way race but remain the class of the division.
3.) Gandalf the Goat
Overall Record: 4-4
Divisional Record: 3-1
Total Points Scored: 656.82
Position Last Week: 3
Notes: You should never score 110.12 fantasy points and lose a game. But that’s exactly what happened to the Goats who suffered the unluckiest scheduled loss of 2024 so far by my count.
4.) Uur UPS
Overall Record: 4-4
Divisional Record: 3-1
Total Points Scored: 599.28
Position Last Week: 4
Notes: The bad news for UPS was seeing Jordan Love exit the game early with an apparent groin injury. He is considered day to day but luckily UPS has an excellent backup QB in Sam Darnold who can go in his place.
5.) Game of Zones
Overall Record: 6-2
Divisional Record: 3-1
Total Points Scored: 646.5
Position Last Week: 5
Notes: The return of Tua to the starting lineup provides an interesting QB dilemma with Aaron Rodgers sitting on the bench for the first time in over a month. The good news is Garrett Wilson has retained good value even as the Jets spiral downward.
6.) Pool of the Dead
Overall Record: 5-3
Divisional Record: 2-2
Total Points Scored: 732.32
Position Last Week: 6
Notes: This team is dangerous and they are flying under the radar with how stacked the FFC North is and how dominant Cloud 9 has been. Kyle Pitts was the star on Sunday going for 91 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
7.) Philippines Garbage Dumps
Overall Record: 5-3
Divisional Record: 1-3
Total Points Scored: 616.7
Position Last Week: 8
Notes: It was a Monday night miracle for the Garbage Dumps who mounted a 25+ point comeback with a kicker defense remarkably. Pittsburgh’s excellent defense and special teams padded the stats sheet with 4 sacks, a fumble recovery, a special teams touchdown and four made field goals.
8.) Isla Sorna Raptors
Overall Record: 4-4
Divisional Record: 2-2
Total Points Scored: 6744.5
Position Last Week: 10
Notes: Jalen Hurts had his best game of 2024 with 3 tush push touchdown runs and adding another long touchdown pass. The Raptors are just on the fringe of a playoff spot and they certainly have the talent to make a second half run for the playoffs.
9.) Doctor Jenious
Overall Record: 4-4
Divisional Record: 2-2
Total Points Scored: 616.56
Position Last Week: 7
Notes: It was a tough loss for the Jenious who had to contend with a tough Monday night comeback by the Steelers defense. The bright spot was the return of the Miami Dolphins offense and Devon Achane putting up a 20 point game.
10.) Bruce Almightys
Overall Record: 4-4
Divisional Record: 1-3
Total Points Scored: 687.44
Position Last Week: 12
Notes: All of a sudden there is a three way tie for the FFC South, and the former last place Bruce has entered the divisional race and leads in points scored in the division. Cade Otten had to be the start of the week with 9 catches for 81 yards, 2 touchdowns and over 20 fantasy points.
11.) Jedi Knights
Overall Record: 4-4
Divisional Record: 1-3
Total Points Scored: 610.24
Position Last Week: 14
Notes: Tyrone Tracy mounted a furious comeback on Monday night football delivering a great comeback win for the Jedi Knights who keep their playoff hopes alive with a midseason surge. If this team is firing on all cylinders, they have a good enough roster to contend with the emergence of Tracy as a strong RB2.
12.) Mahomies Deezflated Nuts
Overall Record: 3-5
Divisional Record: 2-2
Total Points Scored: 685.72
Position Last Week: 9
Notes: The reunion of Davante Adams and Aaron Rodgers has not been the smashing success everyone thought it would be. MD Nuts is one game out of the division race and has a well balanced roster and ample firepower to contend.
13.) Da Moon’s Huge Craters
Overall Record: 3-5
Divisional Record: 2-2
Total Points Scored: 567.14
Position Last Week: 11
Notes: George Pickens saw two touchdowns called back on what could have been a monster fantasy game. Da Moon is one game out of the division but needs to get something going to stay on pace with the rest of the field.
14.) Moore on the Run
Overall Record: 3-5
Divisional Record: 1-3
Total Points Scored: 618.62
Position Last Week: 13
Notes: The story of the FFC East this week was scoring a lot of points but running into a juggernaut on the other side of the ball. Moore on the Run is also one game out of the division lead and has come alive in the middle of the season.
15.) SLAM BALL 2K24
Overall Record: 2-6
Divisional Record: 2-2
Total Points Scored: 644.96
Position Last Week: 15
Notes: Pure pain.
16.) Sacramento Wolfpack
Overall Record: 0-8
Divisional Record: 0-4
Total Points Scored: 470.98
Position Last Week: 16
Notes: It’s desperation time and the window is closing for the Wolfpack who need a miracle at this point.
