Week 3 Power Rankings (09-25-2024)

1.) Gandalf the Goat

Overall Record: 3-0
Divisional Record: 3-0
Total Points Scored: 320.86
Position Last Week: 1
Notes: Two incredible come back victories in a row and Gandalf the Goat remains on top of the mountain with QB1 Josh Allen dominating the fantasy landscape once again. The Goat did suffer two big injury losses on Sunday with Devonta Smith and Trey McBride although it’s unclear the severity of injuries and potential time missed if any.

2.) Elk Grove Spartans

Overall Record: 3-0
Divisional Record: 3-0
Total Points Scored: 284.76
Position Last Week: 5
Notes: The Spartans hit the waiver wire pickup of the week (maybe of the season) with Jauan Jennings who put up a career three touchdown game on Sunday. Jennings single game performance was good enough to land him at WR1 on the season despite only scoring a combined 10.1 fantasy points the first two weeks combined.

3.) Doctor Jenious

Overall Record: 2-1
Divisional Record: 2-1
Total Points Scored: 237.2
Position Last Week: 3
Notes: The doctor saw a lot of flop performances after two strong weeks in players like rookie sensation Brock Bowers and second year breakout RB Devon Achane. The good news is Amon-Ra’s slow week 1 appeared to be an anomaly and he is back on track with his consistent WR1 production.

4.) Cloud 9

Overall Record: 2-1
Divisional Record: 2-1
Total Points Scored: 236.58
Position Last Week: 4
Notes: Despite another strong performance from the big three of Lamar Jackson, Bijan Robinson and Nico Collins, Cloud 9 had its first bad week of the regular season. Some of the role players have been underperforming and their utilization is a little concerning and more reliant on big plays or touchdowns.

5.) SLAM BALL 2K24

Overall Record: 2-1
Divisional Record: 2-1
Total Points Scored: 302.68
Position Last Week: 7
Notes: Can somebody please throw Tyreek Hill the ball?

6.) Pool of the Dead

Overall Record: 2-1
Divisional Record: 2-1
Total Points Scored: 272.34
Position Last Week: 6
Notes: Joey B, Cool Joe, Joe Burr, the man who has more nicknames than games played in the NFL put up his first dominant performance of the season going 29/38 for 324 yards and 3 touchdowns. As we have learned and hopefully will not forget: it doesn’t matter who is throwing the ball to him, just draft Justin Jefferson ASAP next year.

7.) Game of Zones

Overall Record: 2-1
Divisional Record: 2-1
Total Points Scored: 264.98
Position Last Week: 2
Notes: As this team awaits the return of AJ Brown, there are encouraging signs this is a really good team with explosive upside. As the Rodgers-Wilson connection solidifies across this season, Zack Moss has proven to be an excellent mid round running back selection who has solidified a strong role in his offense.

8.) Uur UPS

Overall Record: 2-1
Divisional Record: 2-1
Total Points Scored: 238.66
Position Last Week: 10
Notes: “Slingin” Sammy Darnold has finally found a home and role that has allowed him to flourish as a startable QB1 in fantasy. Breece Hall and DK Metcalf continue to be productive all stars who are creating a nice high floor for this team’s points scored.

9.) Mahomies Deezflated Nuts

Overall Record: 1-2
Divisional Record: 1-2
Total Points Scored: 246.52
Position Last Week: 9
Notes: Despite not having any significant injuries, this is one of the unluckiest teams in fantasy so far this season. Two strong offensive performances have been offset by playing the highest scorer of the week and you can expect this team to bounce back.

10.) Isla Sorna Raptors

Overall Record: 1-2
Divisional Record: 1-2
Total Points Scored: 230.78
Position Last Week: 8
Notes: Jalen Hurts has been one of the most frustrating players in fantasy this season with his league leading 6 turnovers (tied with Anthony Richardson) in the first three weeks. However this may be a QB controversy because Jayden Daniels is sitting on the bench ranked QB2 in all of fantasy.

11.) Philippines Garbage Dumps

Overall Record: 1-2
Divisional Record: 1-2
Total Points Scored: 226.68
Position Last Week: 12
Notes: The PGD have been consistently scoring in the mid 70s in their first three games and secured their first victory. You have to think that the return of Christian McCaffrey is going to push that number up and push this team into the upper echelon.

12.) Bruce Almightys

Overall Record: 1-2
Divisional Record: 1-2
Total Points Scored: 218.02
Position Last Week: 14
Notes: Bruce scored a huge upset taking down the doctor behind big games from Brock Purdy, David Montgomery and Kyren Williams. Even with two donuts from Rashid Shaheed and the kicker, Bruce has assembled an incredible running back duo and managed to put up 100+ points.

13.) Da Moon’s Huge Craters

Overall Record: 1-2
Divisional Record: 1-2
Total Points Scored: 186.9
Position Last Week: 11
Notes: The Craters have put up two mediocre weeks in a row and it’s clear this squad is limited by rookie QB Caleb Williams. The more disappointing player this week, Rhamondre Stevenson, finished in the negatives after looking like a promising RB value the first two weeks.

14.) Jedi Knights

Overall Record: 1-2
Divisional Record: 1-2
Total Points Scored: 186.46
Position Last Week: 16
Notes: The Jedi Knights secured their first victory of the season on the backs of Ja’Marr Chase and Rome Odunze. The absence of Kenneth Walker has been huge for how thin this running back room is and should provide a huge boost on his return.

15.) Sacramento Wolf Pack

Overall Record: 0-3
Divisional Record: 0-3
Total Points Scored: 178.52
Position Last Week: 15
Notes: Anthony Richardson has had two disaster weeks in a row and leads the NFL with six interceptions thrown. He has been too much of a liability to overcome for a team that is so heavily invested in the Colts.

16.) Moore on the Run

Overall Record: 0-3
Divisional Record: 0-3
Total Points Scored: 165.04
Position Last Week: 13
Notes: This is one of those weeks you just want to forget about as nobody showed up to play for everyone’s favorite neighbor. Brush it off and onto Week 4.
