Week 1 Power Rankings (09-11-2024)

1.) Game of Zones

Overall Record: 1-0
Divisional Record: 1-0
Total Points Scored: 130.82
Position Last Week: N/A
Notes: Domination across the board capped off by a monster 30 point game from the fantasy defense spells a nice Week 1 victory for the new franchise Game of Zones. The biggest question going forward will be the viability of Jordan Mason with the recent news of Christian McCaffrey’s injury.

2.) Gandalf the Goat

Overall Record: 1-0
Divisional Record: 1-0
Total Points Scored: 108.08
Position Last Week: N/A
Notes: When you got a good thing going, it’s usually smart to keep going back to it. That is this franchise’s relationship with QB Josh Allen who silenced all doubters with his QB1 performance without an elite wide receiver on the team.

3.) Cloud9

Overall Record: 1-0
Divisional Record: 1-0
Total Points Scored: 94.62
Position Last Week: N/A
Notes: It’s a new day in Atlanta as Bijan Robinson was heavily featured in his new role as the workhorse back. This team has one of the few stud RB1s who will be a set it and forget it play every week in any matchup with elite usage and an unlimited ceiling.

4.) Da Moon’s Huge Craters

Overall Record: 1-0
Divisional Record: 1-0
Total Points Scored: 73.72
Position Last Week: N/A
Notes: After a quiet debut from their rookie QB Caleb Williams, Da Moon turned to defense for a critical Week 1 victory. The Vikings defense utilized the new scoring changes for defense and dominated with 29 fantasy points including a defensive touchdown, two fourth down stops and five sacks.

5.) SLAM BALL 2K24

Overall Record: 1-0
Divisional Record: 1-0
Total Points Scored: 92.4
Position Last Week: N/A
Notes: Thank you to all of the GMs of BFFL for letting Cooper Kupp fall to us in the third round.

6.) Isla Sorna Raptors

Overall Record: 1-0
Divisional Record: 1-0
Total Points Scored: 92.22
Position Last Week: N/A
Notes: After a shaky start in the first ever Brazil game with QB Jalen Hurts, the Raptors rebounded nicely with some solid Sunday performances to secure the victory. Jahmyr Gibbs and James Conner provided a nice 1-2 punch as both running backs found the endzone and finished the week as RB1s finishing in the top 15.

7.) Elk Grove Spartans

Overall Record: 1-0
Divisional Record: 1-0
Total Points Scored: 75.26
Position Last Week: N/A
Notes: When you have a trio of WRs in Houston that you have trouble forecasting for the season, the smart thing to do is to invest in all of them by taking the QB. CJ Stroud starts his sophomore campaign with a solid 234 yard, 2 touchdown game and looks to remain on his elite upward trajectory.

8.) Doctor Jenious

Overall Record: 1-0
Divisional Record: 1-0
Total Points Scored: 64.28
Position Last Week: N/A
Notes: Months of debate over one of the most polarizing players in fantasy football was finally settled on Sunday. Devon Achane is a legit RB1 and will get the usage to become a first round running back in 2025 drafts.

9.) Mahomies’ Deezflated Nuts

Overall Record: 0-1
Divisional Record: 0-1
Total Points Scored: 88.48
Position Last Week: N/A
Notes: MD Nuts lose a close nail biter after a career game from Saquon Barkley. The encouraging sign going forward is Barkley’s elite usage in a great offense where he will have multiple opportunities to score on the ground or through the air.

10.) Pool of the Dead

Overall Record: 0-1
Divisional Record: 0-1
Total Points Scored: 82.06
Position Last Week: N/A
Notes: The defending champion falls one week after naming Stan as one of the biggest challenges in the division and across the league. The silver lining is Joe Mixon is the workhorse back and got a whopping 30 carries converted into 159 yards and a touchdown along with three receptions.

11.) Philippines Garbage Dumps

Overall Record: 0-1
Divisional Record: 0-1
Total Points Scored:74.54
Position Last Week: N/A
Notes: The PGD have to be happy with the usage of Kyren Williams after some preseason buzz about him playing on special teams threw some fantasy managers into a state of confusion. Chris Godwin also appears to be fully healthy for the first time in a while and can benefit from a pass happy offense in Tampa.

12.) Sacramento Wolf Pack

Overall Record: 0-1
Divisional Record: 0-1
Total Points Scored: 69.88
Position Last Week: N/A
Notes: The good news is Anthony Richardson has not changed up the formula and will remain a top flight dual threat quarterback. The bad news is his accuracy still leaves a lot to be desired but if he keeps running, it can be offset.

13.) Moore on the Run

Overall Record: 0-1
Divisional Record: 0-1
Total Points Scored: 65.58
Position Last Week: N/A
Notes: Devastating news for Moore on the Run who lost Puka Nacua to the IR for at least four games with a knee injury on Sunday Night Football. There were a couple of key contributors left on the bench who could see some starts coming up with players like Brian Robinson Jr and Baker Mayfield.

14.) Jedi Knights

Overall Record: 0-1
Divisional Record: 0-1
Total Points Scored: 64.94
Position Last Week: N/A
Notes: The Jedi Knights ran one of the few dual tight end sets in the league this week and were ruined by a terrible week for elite tight ends. Ja’Marr Chase has chosen to play without a new contract which is potentially great news in the hope that he plays extra motivated.

15.) Bruce Almightys

Overall Record: 0-1
Divisional Record: 0-1
Total Points Scored: 56.4
Position Last Week: N/A
Notes: The Atlanta passing stack did not work in Week 1 and was ruined by a vicious Pittsburgh pass rush from TJ Watt. The biggest news of the week was the last minute scratch of #1 overall pick Christian McCaffrey and it’s longterm implications will make or break the season for Bruce.

16.) Uur UPS

Overall Record: 0-1
Divisional Record: 0-1
Total Points Scored: 54.8
Position Last Week: N/A
Notes: Another year and the UPS curse strikes again taking down QB Jordan Love for a few weeks with an MCL sprain. As the team turns to Sam Darnold, look for some playmakers to bounce back huge in Week 2 including DK Metcalf and Amari Cooper.
