1.) Pool of the Dead
Overall Record: 5-0
Divisional Record: 4-0
Total Points Scored: 470.5
Position Last Week: 1
Notes: It was another Monday night sweat, but the Pool survive and remain undefeated. Winning with St. Brown, Walker and Watson all out for various reasons was a huge win and speaks to this team’s depth and overall quality.
2.) Mahomies Deezflated Nuts
Overall Record: 4-1
Divisional Record: 3-1
Total Points Scored: 482.3
Position Last Week: 2
Notes: This team seemingly hit on every pick in the draft. The two breakout stars of Week 5 were Brock Purdy and Cole Kmet who surprisingly both sit #2 in their respective positional ranks.
3.) Da Moon’s Huge Craters
Overall Record: 3-2
Divisional Record: 3-1
Total Points Scored: 363.3
Position Last Week: 3
Notes: The Craters have to make a move to fend off Bruce who is now tied for the division lead. Dropping $175 FAAB on a running back in free agency may be the move.
4.) Philippines Garbage Dumps
Overall Record: 2-3
Divisional Record: 2-2
Total Points Scored: 386.6
Position Last Week: 4
Notes: Despite an ugly 0-4 week for the FFC West ,the PGD still sit atop the division with their points scored tiebreaker. However they were hit the hardest this week with injuries losing Jefferson and Conner to IR.
5.) No Diggity…about to bag it up
Overall Record: 4-1
Divisional Record: 3-1
Total Points Scored: 412.2
Position Last Week: 5
Notes: I don’t want to be premature but Joe Burrow looks like he’s back! Getting elite QB1 production will elevate this team from a fringe wildcard to a powerhouse.
6.) Bruce Almightys
Overall Record: 3-2
Divisional Record: 2-2
Total Points Scored: 459.8
Position Last Week: 7
Notes: While most of the league is stagnant in their power rankings, this team is surging upwards to the top. Scoring 135 points is no small feat and getting a career night from DJ Moore might turn around his season and clear this team for takeoff.
7.) Korriban Warriors
Overall Record: 2-3
Divisional Record: 2-2
Total Points Scored: 410.9
Position Last Week: 6
Notes: It’s been a rough couple of weeks for the Warriors but things are looking better. They will welcome back Justin Herbert and Austin Ekeler to the starting lineup in Week 6 in hopes to stay on pace for the FFC North race.
8.) Lin Sanity
Overall Record: 2-3
Divisional Record: 2-2
Total Points Scored: 373.9
Position Last Week: 8
Notes: It feels like this team is put together with paper clips and rubber bands as they battle injuries. After a slow Week 1, Christian Kirk has been the model of consistency at receiver since then.
9.) Elk Grove Spartans
Overall Record: 2-3
Divisional Record: 2-2
Total Points Scored: 354.7
Position Last Week: 9
Notes: Cooper Kupp is back and he looks like the guy we have been accustomed to the past two seasons. This will do wonders to boost the Spartans point output and give them a slight edge against their division rivals in a tight race.
10.) Sacramento Wolf Pack
Overall Record: 2-3
Divisional Record: 2-2
Total Points Scored: 348.3
Position Last Week: 10
Notes: The stalwart cornerstone of this team, Derrick Henry and Tony Pollard, combined for a meager 7.6 fantasy points. It’s hard to believe in this not being an outlier at this point.
11.) Uur UPS
Overall Record: 2-3
Divisional Record: 2-2
Total Points Scored: 339.7
Position Last Week: 11
Notes: It’s getting a little redundant getting to this team and talking only about injuries. Well here’s another one: sensational rookie breakout star De’Von Achane was placed on the injured reserve for a knee injury but this team will welcome back Saquon Barkley.
12.) Gandalf the Goat
Overall Record: 2-3
Divisional Record: 1-3
Total Points Scored: 404.6
Position Last Week: 12
Notes: Earlier in the week, the New York Jets let the media know that Breece Hall is no longer on a snap count and will be fully unleashed. Well, can I interest you in 22 carries for 177 yards and a touchdown?
13.) Jedi Knights
Overall Record: 2-3
Divisional Record: 1-3
Total Points Scored: 395.7
Position Last Week: 15
Notes: Going all in on the Colts run game kinda worked as a strategy. The real news for this team is the return of JaMarr Chase to fantasy superstardom who shot his way up to WR8 after a three touchdown game.
14.) Isla Sorna Raptors
Overall Record: 2-3
Divisional Record: 1-3
Total Points Scored: 394.5
Position Last Week: 13
Notes: Travis Etienne was the star of the early morning London game and has dominated snaps and workload in the Jacksonville run game. Paired with CMC makes this arguably the best run duo in the league.
15.) SLAM BALL 2K23
Overall Record: 2-3
Divisional Record: 1-3
Total Points Scored: 353.2
Position Last Week: 14
Notes: The posterboy of mediocrity, SLAM BALL, don’t even look good in victories and somehow slide down the power rankings after a win.
16.) Doctor Jenious
Overall Record: 1-4
Divisional Record: 1-3
Total Points Scored: 352.8
Position Last Week: 16
Notes: This was a tough loss to swallow because of the scheduling and how well they would have performed against other teams this week. Justin Fields has put together two great games which is an encouraging sign.
