1.) Pool of the Dead
Overall Record: 4-0
Divisional Record: 4-0
Total Points Scored: 397.7
Position Last Week: 2
Notes: After four weeks, there remains one undefeated team. The Pool of the Dead ride another monster performance from the #1 ranked Dallas defense to a blowout victory and sweep the division in the first four games.
2.) Mahomies Deezflated Nuts
Overall Record: 3-1
Divisional Record: 3-1
Total Points Scored: 395.7
Position Last Week: 1
Notes: Despite a big game from Cole Kmet, MD Nuts lost a crucial week four matchup to enter a tie for the division lead. Due to their high points scored, they remain atop the division and in the number two spot and will look to rebound in Week 3.
3.) Da Moon’s Huge Craters
Overall Record: 3-1
Divisional Record: 3-1
Total Points Scored: 283.3
Position Last Week: 3
Notes: The Craters end the first quarter of the season on top of the FFC South division. One thing that has not been encouraging is the dwindling role of Rhamondre Stevenson and he will need to bounce back.
4.) Philippines Garbage Dumps
Overall Record: 2-2
Divisional Record: 2-2
Total Points Scored: 334.0
Position Last Week: 6
Notes: One week after a monster game from Raheem Mostert, he ends with a negative point performance in a close loss in a divisional game. The saving grace is the FFC West has entered a vicious four way gridlock where the points scored advantage resides with the PGD.
5.) No Diggity…about to bag it up
Overall Record: 3-1
Divisional Record: 3-1
Total Points Scored: 326.1
Position Last Week: 7
Notes: Stefon Diggs showed why he remains one of the most reliable elite receivers in the league with a three touchdown performance to tie the division race. No Diggity has one major question mark going forward and that is the overall health of Joe Burrow.
6.) Korriban Warriors
Overall Record: 2-2
Divisional Record: 2-2
Total Points Scored: 360.0
Position Last Week: 5
Notes: It’s rare to see Chris Olave post a 0.4 point week but the Saints have looked rough the last two weeks. The Warriors all around are a very balanced team with a lot of talent and I expect them to be ranked in the top seven the rest of the season.
7.) Bruce Almightys
Overall Record: 2-2
Divisional Record: 2-2
Total Points Scored: 324.4
Position Last Week: 11
Notes: After starting the season ranked second to last, Bruce has slowly climbed the mountain and has now joined the playoff party earning the coveted seven spot. Josh Allen jumps up to QB2 after a 44.5 fantasy performance where he scored five touchdowns.
8.) Lin Sanity
Overall Record: 2-2
Divisional Record: 2-2
Total Points Scored: 299.3
Position Last Week: 4
Notes: Lin Sanity has seen some rough decline in their running backs the last few weeks and now it appears Javonte Williams is out for a short term with a hip injury. I think this team is a trade away from positioning themself back in the playoff hunt.
9.) Elk Grove Spartans
Overall Record: 2-2
Divisional Record: 2-2
Total Points Scored: 291.5
Position Last Week: 12
Notes: Recently I had to re-update my top five wide receivers list and it came out like this (in order): The GOAT, Terrell Owens, Puca Nacua, Randy Moss and wait a minute…Nacua has taken the league over and looks to be the prize of 2023 free agency.
10.) Sacramento Wolf Pack
Overall Record: 2-2
Divisional Record: 2-2
Total Points Scored: 287.3
Position Last Week: 13
Notes: It was a nice bounce back game from Derrick Henry after a slow start to the 2023 season. The knockout punch was delivered by a dominant performance from the Seattle defense on Monday Night Football where they tied a team record with 11 sacks.
11.) Uur UPS
Overall Record: 2-2
Divisional Record: 2-2
Total Points Scored: 275.1
Position Last Week: 8
Notes: UPS has been sliding down the power rankings with their mounting injuries but one bright spot is it looks like De’Von Achane is the real deal. What’s going to be interesting is monitoring his usage and see if he will take an even bigger role in that dynamic Miami offense.
12.) Gandalf the Goat
Overall Record: 1-3
Divisional Record: 1-3
Total Points Scored: 314.5
Position Last Week: 9
Notes: It was an uncharacteristic Patrick Mahomes game where he threw two interceptions and recorded a season low 9.1 fantasy points. The Goat has been scoring points, but has had bad luck with schedule so look for them to jump up in the next couple of weeks.
13.) Isla Sorna Raptors
Overall Record: 1-3
Divisional Record: 1-3
Total Points Scored: 295.4
Position Last Week: 14
Notes: The best player in Week 4 was Christian McCaffrey who contributed four touchdowns to get the first W for the Raptors. With the big quarterback acquisition in trade of Jalen Hurts, this team looks very strong all of a sudden.
14.) SLAM BALL 2K23
Overall Record: 1-3
Divisional Record: 1-3
Total Points Scored: 276.9
Position Last Week: 16
Notes: We don’t suck anymore!
15.) Jedi Knights
Overall Record: 1-3
Divisional Record: 1-3
Total Points Scored: 273.4
Position Last Week: 10
Notes: The Jedi Knights may welcome back Jonathan Taylor who is reportedly practicing this week and should be back to assume the lion’s share of the carries in Indianapolis. You can’t count on too many bad Tua games this year.
16.) Doctor Jenious
Overall Record: 1-3
Divisional Record: 1-3
Total Points Scored: 259.3
Position Last Week: 15
Notes: There shall be no winless teams this year as the Doctor gets his first win against the division leader. Maybe all Justin Fields needed was a change of scenery?
