Week 2 Power Rankings (09-21-2022)

This week’s highlight of the week involves one of the crazier plays you’ll ever see in football. It was a two point conversion amidst the Cardinals 23 point comeback in Las Vegas this past weekend; a play that elapsed just over 22 seconds and had Kyler Murray run a total of 85 yards to complete the two point attempt.

1.) Pool of the Dead

Overall Record: 2-0
Divisional Record: 2-0
Total Points Scored: 201.9
Position Last Week: 8
Notes: When you score 130+ points in a week, its not unusual to see a team jump seven spots to the #1 spot. Amon-Ra St. Brown looks like the real deal and has joined the elite wide receiver conversation.

2.) Lin Sanity

Overall Record: 2-0
Divisional Record: 2-0
Total Points Scored: 194
Position Last Week: 1
Notes: Another dominant divisional win for Lin Sanity as they continue to steam roll opponents and will be tested next week against the Spartans. Jaylen Waddle’s late game heroics secured a massive 29.1 fantasy day, in a game where he was targeted 19 times!

3.) Mahomies Deezflated Nuts

Overall Record: 2-0
Divisional Record: 2-0
Total Points Scored: 188.1
Position Last Week: 2
Notes: Cooper Kupp’s continued dominance alongside good performances from the RB duo of CEH and Gibson continue MD Nuts dominance in the FFC East race after two weeks. Look for a strong Kirk Cousins bounce back game in Week 3.

4.) Da Moon’s Huge Craters

Overall Record: 2-0
Divisional Record: 2-0
Total Points Scored: 159.8
Position Last Week: 7
Notes: After a slow Week 1, Derek Carr had a clean game in Week 2 committing no turnovers and scoring 22.9 fantasy points. The Craters have built solid depth at the WR position in the absence of Michael Pittman, something that will really shine during the bye weeks.

5.) Elk Grove Spartans

Overall Record: 1-1
Divisional Record: 1-1
Total Points Scored: 186.4
Position Last Week: 9
Notes: Stefon Diggs looks virtually un-coverable and has broken free on long touchdowns where he was wide open against the defense’s top corner both weeks so far. Look for Tua to be in the QB1 conversation after a historic 6-touchdown game in Week 2.

6.) Gandalf the Goat

Overall Record: 1-1
Divisional Record: 1-1
Total Points Scored: 184.2
Position Last Week: 10
Notes: You can’t keep the two time defending champion down long and he showed why in Week 2. Josh Allen’s MVP campaign started off strong on opening night and the case just gets stronger after a monster four touchdown game through the air this past Monday night.

7.) Jedi Knights

Overall Record: 1-1
Divisional Record: 1-1
Total Points Scored: 171.7
Position Last Week: 3
Notes: It won’t be many weeks you see Jonathan Taylor get contained like that in a favorable matchup. The bright spot is Rashod Bateman’s continued year 2 breakout looks like the real deal after another long touchdown.

8.) SLAM BALL 2K22

Overall Record: 1-1
Divisional Record: 1-1
Total Points Scored: 170.1
Position Last Week: 6
Notes: Along the QB roulette wheel we go..

9.) Doctor Jenious

Overall Record: 1-1
Divisional Record: 1-1
Total Points Scored: 155.6
Position Last Week: 4
Notes: The Dameon Pierce-Rex Burkhead saga swings the other way as it looks like Pierce will get the lion’s share of touches going forward. The doctor has many bright spots on his team and is one of my early season favorites with Jalen Hurts taking his game to another level.

10.) Isla Sorna Raptors

Overall Record: 1-1
Divisional Record: 1-1
Total Points Scored: 132.2
Position Last Week: 15
Notes: If there’s any doubt, let me assure you: this team is stacked at quarterback with Lamar Jackson and Carson Wentz both having monster games. Henry’s slow start to the season is a little concerning but with his volume and touchdown upside, he is bound for some big games.

11.) Sacramento Wolf Pack

Overall Record: 1-1
Divisional Record: 1-1
Total Points Scored: 124.3
Position Last Week: 5
Notes: This was a forgettable week that plummeted the Wolf Pack down the power rankings after everyone besides the kicker failed to score double digits. Monitor Jeudy’s injury as he is day to day and essential to this receiving game.

12.) Bruce Almighty

Overall Record: 1-1
Divisional Record: 1-1
Total Points Scored: 115.2
Position Last Week: 16
Notes: Bruce bounced back after a sloppy week one with a much needed divisional win. Allen Robinson’s pre-season hype may have died a little in Week 1 but he will never be counted out playing in the Rams offense as Stafford’s #2 target.

13.) How I Kmet Your Mother

Overall Record: 0-2
Divisional Record: 0-2
Total Points Scored: 126.4
Position Last Week: 13
Notes: The slow start to the season for the receivers has quietly torpedoed this team to an 0-2 start. You can’t suppress talent too much so look for the Lamb/Chase/Thomas trio to explode in the upcoming weeks to get some wins for this team.

14.) Korriban Warriors

Overall Record: 0-2
Divisional Record: 0-2
Total Points Scored: 125.7
Position Last Week: 11
Notes: Hello sir are you lost? It’s not usual we see the Warriors ranked this low on the power rankings. I would be a little worried about Najee Harris but at this point all you can do is hope for the high volume that propelled his 2021 season.

15.) Philippines Garbage Dumps

Overall Record: 0-2
Divisional Record: 0-2
Total Points Scored: 119.2
Position Last Week: 12
Notes: Tough beat for the PGD who saw over half their points scored from WR1 Tyreek Hill but then saw Matt Ryan completely sink the ship with his three turnover negative point game.

16.) Uur UPS

Overall Record: 0-2
Divisional Record: 0-2
Total Points Scored: 110.7
Position Last Week: 14
Notes: There is not too many positives to this team linked so heavily to the Denver Broncos passing game which has looked slow to start the season, but one bright spot is Courtland Sutton is ranked #5 in the league in receiving yards.
