Thank you to our special contributor Justin, GM of Doctor Jenious, for taking time out of his day to provide us with the sought after draft grades.
FFC West
Elk Grove Spartans
Spartans are my early favorites in the FFC West. They very clearly have top tier talent at QB with Rodgers and RB with CMC. Gus Edwards is also an interesting RB to look out for as he will be now getting the primary RB role after the unfortunate injury of JK Dobbins in the pre-season. I believe that CMC and Gus will lead to one of the top RB pairs in our league baring all injuries. The clear weak spot on the team is the WR position but I believe there is a lot of up side to the WR’s. Diontae Johnson is someone that I was eyeing pretty hard to pick up late as I see him taking over a good chunk of targets after the lack luster performance last year of Juju and the return of Big Ben throwing the ball. I also firmly see Landry and Golladay getting the primary targets as well on their own respective teams, the big question there is will their qbs show up this year and help deliver some fantasy help to these receivers. Good draft, used every minute of it.
Overall Grade – A
Outcome – Wins the division, takes spot 2-4 in the playoffs
Lin Sanity
Just going to say it now. Marvin’s WR core is the top in the league, and undoubtedly should be as he used his first 3 rounds picks to secure Hill, DK and Evans. Love this receiving combo and can see each of them putting up very consistent performances week in and week out. I am also really intrigued by the Harris pick up now that Mac Attack has been named the starting QB of that Patriots. Hopefully they can get that offense in a much better position then last year and give Harris some good opportunities, but I can see a lot of carries in this mans future this year. The 2 big outlying factors for me on this team are 1. Depth and 2. Matty Ice. We have all seen Matt Ryan put up MVP level performances but we have also see him be a far below avg QB on certain years, so the big question is will the addition of Pitts help push Matt Ryan forward this year to another MVP level fantasy performance. And then the depth of the team, I love the starting core of this team but once bye weeks start coming up or if injuries/covid happens to some of these players, this teams dynamic can definitely shift and start seeing some struggle.
Overall Grade – B
Outcome – Secures a wild card position baring any injuries
Philippine Garbage Dumps
This is an interesting team IMO. Cook was an obvious pick up at the number 3 position and we should see another stellar offensive display from him this year. Kittle is also back and healthy and will be looking to fight for that #1 TE spot this year I am sure. I really like the Robby Anderson pick up as well, under that new offensive system and paired back up with his old QB Darnold, I see a very big up turn in performance for Anderson this year. Unfortunately after that, for me atleast, the team has some potentially tough challenges. I am not sold on Tua yet, and in this league not having a solid qb can be a serious make or break situation and PGD currently has no back up. With the only starter on the waivers currently being Dalton, and we will see how long that lasts, if Tua is unable to get the offense moving forward this year then that is potentially a huge issue for this team.
Overall Grade – C+
Outcome – Fighting for a wildcard spot but comes up 2 games short of playoffs
Sac Wolf Pack
This is a team where conservatively speaking, doesn’t stack up to the rest of the division currently. Zeke has had a couple of rough performance years but hopefully Dak coming back after injury will help get the running game back up to where it should be. Swift is also a potentially high performance back but that Detroit offense is a big concern to me and whether or not they will be able to stay on the field long enough to even get some solid run chances for him. I do like the WR core of Sutton, Aiyuk and McLaurin however. Neither of them will end top 5 or have a phenomenal season but I believe that they should be consistent performers for this team and deliver a decent amount of points each week. For me though the largest concerning factor is Hurts as QB. Luckily this team does have Fitz and Tmobile as backups incase Hurts isn’t the man that Philly is hoping he is. As I personally hold 2 Phi Wrs though, I really hope he does come out and take his starting opportunity this year and crush it. But as he is currently untested, it is tough to say that he will help lead this team to a top caliber fantasy team.
Overall Grade – C
Outcome – Tough season, Battles each week but is unable to get over .500
FFC East
Gandalf the Goat
The Goats are taking that championship and looking for a back to back season! Will they get there? I dont know but I love the pick up of Josh Allen. This team had trades going left and right at the beginning of the draft but ended up with a solid starting core. I believe that once Fields becomes starting qb in Chi that the offense there really starts to take off. As this team has the #1 RB and #1 WR in Robinson from the Bears, a lot rides on them moving on from Dalton IMO. But I love the upside of both of these players. Darrell Henderson in another potential breakout player this year after the new pick up of QB Matt Stafford on the Rams. I believe this offense will really take a big jump forward this year and challenge teams every week behind that stellar defense. I dont mind the depth of this team at all, def some potential big point players there for bye week fill ins. For me the only concern on this team is how long is Dalton the starter for the Bears as so much of The Goats fantasy value will be based off that Chicago offense.
Overall Grade A-
Outcome – Wins the division, 4th seed
SLAM BALL 2K21
I will be the first to admit that I believe that Lamar is over hyped, but there are definitely many weeks a season that I get proven otherwise. Slam Ball has a solid top to bottom RB and WR core however. I love the Gibson pick late in the draft and believe that he can end up toward the top 5-8 RB’s this year. Ridley is one of those players as well who has really uncapped potential. He had a phenomenal year behind Julio Jones as the #2 WR on the Falcons last year but this year will be a big test for him. As we saw the departure of Jones, that means that Ridley will now start to pull those top CB’s in coverage. Can he handle the pressure and step up to the plate or will we start to see some regress in performance much like we saw from Juju on the steelers when AB left the team? Woods is another high potential player with the newly acquired QB Matt Stafford. I was high on both Woods and Kupp this year as I can see Stafford coming out and ready to sling the ball! Hopefully this leads to some solid fantasy performances for you and your team.
Overall Grade – B+
Outcome – Fighting for the division all season long, will either take it or be looking at the #6/7 seed
Mahomies Deezflated Nuts
Well another draft has come and gone with Ryan somehow acquiring 2 first round picks. How this man does it every year, I will never know but it has shown to be successful in the past so hopefully this year is the same. Kamara and Kelce is a great set of back to back first round picks. Kelce emerged over the last several seasons to not only be one of the best TE’s in the game but also the top overall WR’s. Kamara is a player with unmatched skill as well and has been dominating the running game since he came into the league, big question here is will the new QB system of Mr. 30 for 30 help bring value to Kamara this season or will it make that Saints offense become dull. Dak is BACK! Obviously a huge pick up for Mr. Nuts as a healthy Dak has shown many times over that he can be a top Fantasy QB in the league. The big question there is what is that health like for Dak after that nasty ankle break last year? My biggest concern on this team however is the depth of roster. Now I typically dont like to harp on depth as this is a 16 man league and we are all pretty much grasping at straws those last 5 rounds but this team may have one of the roughest depth charts in the league IMO. The loss of the 2 and 3rd round picks obviously hurt being able to pick up some players early on in the draft but as long as the starting core of this team stays healthy then I can see this team competing weekly.
Overall Grade – B
Outcome – Fighting for second place in the division each week but has trouble getting to that wild card spot. Comes in spot 8 or 9 at end of season.
Hot Pocket Hot Locket
This team has some flashes of potential greatness when looking at it. I believe Herbert will thrive in his second year and end this season as a top 5 Fantasy QB. Obviously with Rodgers coming back to GB, the pick up of Davante Adams will lead to a top 5 Fantasy WR also. For me, the problem for this team comes after those 2. Carson and Mike Davis could be a decent one two combination for RB but I dont see either of these 2 putting up top tier points on a weekly basis or either being very consistent. Claypool could see some better throws to him this year now that Big Ben is back but I believe that Dioante Johnson will end up with the highest fantasy value of the Steelers WR slots. Then that leads us to Hockenson. I am not big on his overall value in fantasy and with the new QB of Goff stepping in to throw the ball this year, I like him even less. If Goff is able to get back to the performance he was driving 3 years ago in LA then we could see some good stuff but Goff has never shown huge target share to his TE’s through the years so far.
Overall Grade – C
Outcome – Misses playoffs and ends the season in slot 12-16
FFC North
Pool of the Dead
IMO the best team in the league post-draft. There is little not to like about this team besides my personal hate of Brady after this past Super Bowl… The combination of Henry and Jacobs at the RB position is another one of those combos that I believe is in the top 3 of RB groupings in our league. When we take a look at the WR core of this team we see a very eager OBJ who should be back healthy and ready to make an impact on a potential high scoring offense of the Browns. Justin Jefferson has the biggest upside to me on the WR side of this team after a phenomenal Rookie outing last year! AB is the outlier on this starting line up as he will be third/fourth in target shares for that TB offense but this team has some solid depth into the bench to back that up. When we look at Brady, I think we have to stop saying “Hes too old” because obviously that man does not give a dam and will play the game at a high level until all of us are in our 60’s.
Overall Grade – A+
Outcome – Makes play off as #1 seed and gets that one coveted bye week this year
Korriban Warriors
Stan has a potentially high performing team sitting behind Russell Wilson at QB. An early MVP candidate last year started to regress behind a weak O-line as the season progressed but there is little doubt on his play making capability and ability to get the ball to DK and Lockett. Jonathan Taylor and Miles Sanders are 2 of those RB’s that I believe are easy to start each week and not worry about having to change them out but not really 2 RB’s you want to have to rely on each week for big performances. Both will be consistent but not top 10 Fantasy backs by end of year. Thielen is the def highlight of this WR group as he took the most redzone targets for the Vikings last year and has proven to be a solid fantasy WR week in and week out over the past couple years. My worry on this team is Brown and Cooks. Both are players that have good potential but they are on teams that either dont throw the ball much or well Houston… Texans were on my list of do not touch this team after the disastrous off-season of media frenzy.
Overall Grade – B
Outcome – Fighting for one of those last 2 wild card spots
Ernies Rubber Duckies
This team has a potential to be competitive each week in his division. It is tough to not like Murray as QB and I firmly believe that he will be a top 5 fantasy QB by years end. I personally love CEH and Hunt but I am extremely biased on these 2. In terms of fantasy there is upside but there is also a lot of downside. CEH had a rough fantasy outing last year after being hyped to be the starting RB for the fresh super bowl champ Chiefs. Hunt had a strong fantasy performance last year but many people forget that he got primary job for several games last year as Chubb was out on injury. Also having to split carries will hinder performance to a degree as Chubb is the clear #1 on that team. Diggs is a great WR to have on your fantasy team after the stellar performance behind the MVP candidate Josh Allen. Biggest concerns for me looking at the Rubber Duckies is Juju and the depth of the bench. Juju who was the supposed #1 wr last year for the steelers will likely be looking at #2/3 in targets this year behind Claypool and Johnson IMO. And little is left to be desired looking that the bench of this team which will make for a rough time come bye weeks and potential injuries.
Overall Grade – C
Outcome – Pray for no injuries on your team but will likely miss play off but 2-3 games
Jedi Knights
First off, Welcome to the league sir and congrats on your recent wedding! We are happy to have you here and look forward to seeing what you can do. That said, I think you have a lot of struggles ahead of you this year. Aaron Jones is a solid RB Pick up but IMO there were def some stronger candidates available at that time, still a very easy set in and forget it type RB that you dont have to worry about. The issue is the RB situation after that gets rougher for sure as its mainly split back situations or RB 2s on their respective teams. Tough to flex those people in on a weekly basis currently. I do however think you have a strong WR core. Brown and Waller are proven fantasy warriors week in and week out, and I was persoanlly pretty high on Shenault Jr this year with the new gun slinger Lawerence taking over duties in Jax. I also think that since Mac will be starting in NE this year, there is more upside to Jakobi Meyers fantasy value then if Cam Newton was there still. Joe Burrow will be the big question here. Cin did very little to shore up that O-line this off season and it clearly was effecting him last year prior to his injury. To me his is still unproven to be able to be a reliable fantasy value.
Overall Grade – C-
Outcome – Will have some good weeks but most will be bad, will end season in spots 15-16
FFC South
Uur UPS
I believe that Navdeep had the best draft in this division this year. He was able to start with a strong pairing of Rbs in the Rookie Najee Harris and Ekeler, I believe this to be another one of the best pairings of RB’s in the league. I loved the pick up of Tannehill later in the draft as he was a huge sleeper but fantasy beast last year. With the aquiring of Julio Jones, I belive that Tannehills value as a fantasy QB will continue to rise this year as well. I also really like the WR core that was built here, as not picking up a WR in the first two rounds usually makes times tough, Uur UPS was able to secure some high potential candidates in Cooper, DJ Moore, and Corey Davis that should all get plenty of target shares each week in their respective offenses. I also hate to talk about defense’s but…Aaron Donald, you love him but you hate to play against him and he will surely lead to many sack points this year for that Rams defense.
Overall Grade – A
Outcome – Will take number 2 spot in the league
Bruce Almighty’s
The Almighty’s had a very solid draft this year after picking up Chubb at #8. When looking at this team it is well balanced in almost every area. It has a very solid WR Core with the pick ups of CeeDee Lamb, Hopkins and Kupp, all potential #1 WR’s on their respective teams. Baker Mayfield is my biggest question on this team. This is a man who this year really has to show that he is a consistent performer and has the ability to get the job done. He has the best offensive unit on paper around him and should end as a top fantasy QB if he is able to perform at the level that the Browns need him to this year. The Almighty’s benchis the biggest factor for me when analyzing this team. In a year where we will most likely see many injuries and players forced out due to Covid, having bench players ready to step up will be a huge piece of the championship team this year. I dont see much on this bench that gets me excited and many decisions to player replacements will most likely be based off of potential matchups and not who is actually the better option of skill.
Overall Grade – B
Outcome – Battling for the division each week if Baker shows up, ends up as wild card though
Da Moons Huge Craters
Biggest question mark on this team is how on earth did Saquon fall to #16?!? I am still trying to wrap my head around this one but if he is for sure healthy and ready to go week 1 then he has the potential to come out and be a top fantasy RB from the get go. For me this is one of the most well rounded teams in the league this year. Godwin, Lockett and Chark should all get well over 5 targets per game and each has that explosive potential to catch an 80 yard TD any week. Mixon will get the primary share of touches in that Bengals backfield this year and should consistently see 10+ points weekly. Stafford has probably been one of the most underrated QB’s in the game of football in recent memory. Hopefully his transition to a new team will help lead to success for him and allow him to really show case his skills on a high level. I think a few of the players you were eyeing that were taken by Uur UPS may come back to be the downfall of this team however as that trade from 12-16 may end up being more crucial then originally thought.
Overall Grade – B-
Outcome – Competitive all year, fighting for wildcard position by end of season

I hope you all enjoy reading these as much as I enjoyed writing them. As always, I am no expert and have never won a single fantasy playoff game so don’t get offended if I did not like your team as much as you may like it. I wish you all good luck this year and may the best team win!
