Week 9 Power Rankings (11-11-2020)

1.) Bruce Almightys

Overall Record: 7-2
Divisional Record: 3-1
Total Points Scored: 847.9
Position Last Week: 1
Notes: After witnessing what we thought was a ceiling game from Dalvin Cook in Week 8, he follows it up with a 37.2 point game finishing as the highest scoring running back for a second consecutive week and propelling Bruce to another blowout victory.

2.) Korriban Warriors

Overall Record: 7-2
Divisional Record: 3-1
Total Points Scored: 772.4
Position Last Week: 2
Notes: I think everybody knows that this team will consistently be a high scoring force to reckon with. What really determines the ceiling on this team is how the supporting role players will perform in the postseason and if they can bring this team its first championship in franchise history.

3.) Elk Grove Spartans

Overall Record: 6-3
Divisional Record: 3-1
Total Points Scored: 707.3
Position Last Week: 3
Notes: Terry McLaurin has been playing his way into the top 10 at the receiver position after another 100+ yard and touchdown performance. As this team gets back some key injured players such as Myles Gaskin, Raheem Mostert and Brandon Aiyuk they will become a force in the playoffs.

4.) Mahomies Deezflated Nuts

Overall Record: 5-4
Divisional Record: 3-1
Total Points Scored: 817.4
Position Last Week: 4
Notes: The good news is that Aaron Jones was able to finish the game healthy and had a decent performance before being spelled by his backups in a blowout victory. Next week will be an incredible matchup opportunity against Jacksonville with high chance for a positive game script for running the ball.

5.) Dr. Jenious

Overall Record: 5-4
Divisional Record: 4-0
Total Points Scored: 834
Position Last Week: 7
Notes: This team finally broke the long four game losing streak and are immediately thrust back into a playoff spot. Will Fuller currently has the longest active touchdown streak this season at six straight games with a score.

6.) Ernie’s Rubber Duckies

Overall Record: 5-4
Divisional Record: 3-1
Total Points Scored: 651.8
Position Last Week: 5
Notes: It was an uncharacteristic three turnover game for Brady who finished negative for the first time this season. I wouldn’t count on any games this bad for the rest of the season and for this team to bounce back nicely with a returning Michael Thomas.

7.) Gandalf the Goat

Overall Record: 5-4
Divisional Record: 2-2
Total Points Scored: 723.3
Position Last Week: 9
Notes: The Goat has been steadily climbing the power ranks this entire season and are now tied for the division lead and could easily be in the top four next week. This week Mahomes usurped the #1 QB spot after another dominant 38 fantasy point game: he has not turned the ball over in any capacity since Week 5.

8.) Philippine Garbage Dumps

Overall Record: 5-4
Divisional Record: 2-2
Total Points Scored: 713.6
Position Last Week: 7
Notes: I think you can write off Week 9 as a schedule loss due to the bye weeks of some important players including Kareem Hunt, Joe Mixon and Robert Woods. With the rest of the division losing the PGD still look like arguably the strongest and deepest team in the division and will have four weeks to make a playoff run.

9.) Sacramento Wolfpack

Overall Record: 4-5
Divisional Record: 3-1
Total Points Scored: 658.9
Position Last Week: 8
Notes: Things have not trended well for the Wolfpack who are being kept afloat with a strong 3-1 divisional record despite being in the bottom 2 for total points scored on the season.

10.) Team Banana Boat

Overall Record: 4-5
Divisional Record: 2-2
Total Points Scored: 704.7
Position Last Week: 10
Notes: Christian Kirk is beginning to make a nice year three leap and proving to be an effective weapon in the air raid Kliff Kingsbury offense as he has put together the best three game streak of his career with 5 touchdowns.

11.) SLAM BALL 2K20

Overall Record: 4-5
Divisional Record: 1-3
Total Points Scored: 809.6
Position Last Week: 11
Notes: Things might not be going your way when you almost blow a 27 point lead to the backup quarterback on the Jets.

12.) Uur UPS

Overall Record: 4-5
Divisional Record: 1-3
Total Points Scored: 780.2
Position Last Week: 12
Notes: What I had projected UPS to look like at the beginning of the season was something like we saw this past week. Despite being snake bitten with the McCaffrey injury, they have one of the most exciting rosters to make a playoff push in the final four games when you factor how explosive of a player Kyler Murray has become in year 2.

13.) Whit-ie the Trash Bag

Overall Record: 3-6
Divisional Record: 2-2
Total Points Scored: 703.3
Position Last Week: 14
Notes: The Trash Bag have finally managed to break a long losing streak and won their first game since Week 4. Curtis Samuel has really turned into a nice offensive weapon taking snaps at both running back and receiver and scoring in three consecutive games.

14.) Lin Sanity

Overall Record: 3-6
Divisional Record: 0-4
Total Points Scored: 804
Position Last Week: 13
Notes: You have to admire a team that can fight back after that massive deficit on Thursday night after an assault by Rodgers and Adams. The Chargers last second touchdown pass by Herbert was overturned which could have made this game a lot more interesting.

15.) Pool of the Dead

Overall Record: 3-6
Divisional Record: 0-4
Total Points Scored: 663
Position Last Week: 16
Notes: It’s safe to say Julio Jones is back in elite WR1 territory after a shaky start to the season. As the season winds down there is zero margin for error as the Pool of the Dead face overwhelming obstacles in both the divisional and wildcard races.

16.) Da Moon’s Huge Craters

Overall Record: 2-7
Divisional Record: 0-4
Total Points Scored: 666.7
Position Last Week: 15
Notes: The Craters have been eliminated from winning the FFC South division. Their only playoff shot rests on an improbable miracle but they realistically can not lose another game the rest of the season.
