1.) Bruce Almightys
Overall Record: 5-1
Divisional Record: 3-1
Total Points Scored: 583.4
Position Last Week: 5
Notes: Life is sweet for the defending champion who finds victorious in the Superbowl rematch of Week 6 and atop the power rankings at the near midpoint of the season. The toughest test of the season may be next week without Dalvin Cook and Adam Thielen.
2.) Elk Grove Spartans
Overall Record: 4-2
Divisional Record: 3-1
Total Points Scored: 500.5
Position Last Week: 3
Notes: An injury to Raheem Mostert would normally put a bad team in jeopardy but with the stacked running back depth of Mike Davis, Myles Gaskin and Jerick McKinnon this team is well equipped to handle bye weeks and mitigate injury concerns.
3.) Korriban Warriors
Overall Record: 4-2
Divisional Record: 3-1
Total Points Scored: 489.9
Position Last Week: 2
Notes: It was a nightmare week for Davante Adams and Aaron Rodgers in what was billed as a shootout with a high ceiling. I wouldn’t count on many more weeks like that as this team looks to bounce back in Week 7.
4.) Mahomies Deezflated Nuts
Overall Record: 3-3
Divisional Record: 3-1
Total Points Scored: 560.8
Position Last Week: 4
Notes: I think it’s safe to say Andy Dalton will not be starting another game for Mahomies Deezflated Nuts this season after a nightmare game ruining the Monday night comeback. With major byes behind them for players like Aaron Jones and Russell Wilson, the best is yet to come as this team looks to get back on track in the win column.
5.) Dr. Jenious
Overall Record: 4-2
Divisional Record: 3-1
Total Points Scored: 574.4
Position Last Week: 1
Notes: Two losses in a row and the Jenious takes one of the biggest falls in the power rankings from 1st to 5th in the span of a week. I can’t really say this is a talent problem as the team scored 100+ points in the last week and Josh Allen’s easy matchup against the Jets should be a great opportunity for a bounce back game.
6.) Philippine Garbage Dumps
Overall Record: 4-2
Divisional Record: 2-2
Total Points Scored: 489.9
Position Last Week: 8
Notes: I don’t see many holes in this team and despite two bad Cam Newton weeks in a row, I think if he is fully healthy and recovered from COVID that we will see this team continue to be a legitimate playoff threat. As the bye weeks continue to hurt other teams with bad depth, this team will show its strength in those situations.
7.) Team Banana Boat
Overall Record: 4-2
Divisional Record: 2-2
Total Points Scored: 480.9
Position Last Week: 9
Notes: What an incredible win on Monday night for the Banana Boat with a career game for Christian Kirk who caught an 80 yard touchdown pass to narrowly edge out a league powerhouse. With some bad weeks for division rivals, the Banana Boat was the only victorious team in the FFC North and made up ground in the race.
8.) Sacramento Wolfpack
Overall Record: 3-3
Divisional Record: 3-1
Total Points Scored: 455.6
Position Last Week: 6
Notes: The injuries and depth problems for this team have started to rear its ugly head with two bad losses in a row for the Wolfpack. The silver lining has been AJ Brown who has returned to WR1 prominence and has benefited from Ryan Tannehil’s two monster weeks.
9.) Ernie’s Rubber Duckies
Overall Record: 3-3
Divisional Record: 3-1
Total Points Scored: 446.7
Position Last Week: 7
Notes: I fully expect D’Andre Swift to be integrated more into the offense and get a lot more starts in fantasy lineups going forward. This division race is tight and with a 3-1 divisional record the Rubber Duckies have the potential to move up fast in the power rankings.
10.) Gandalf the Goat
Overall Record: 3-3
Divisional Record: 2-2
Total Points Scored: 488.6
Position Last Week: 10
Notes: This team has been quietly flying under the radar and are now tied for the division lead with two other divisional rivals. Brandin Cooks has scored two weeks in a row and looks to be like one of the biggest benefactors of Bill O’Brien’s departure from the Texans.
11.) SLAM BALL 2K20
Overall Record: 3-3
Divisional Record: 1-3
Total Points Scored: 590.4
Position Last Week: 12
Notes: Ezekiel Elliott has lost 5 fumbles this season, more than all of his career combined and leading the NFL this year.
12.) Whit-ie the Trash Bag
Overall Record: 2-4
Divisional Record: 2-2
Total Points Scored: 488.6
Position Last Week: 11
Notes: The Trash Bag will be getting back some great weapons in Alvin Kamara and Diontae Johnson which will help the poor offensive output in Week 6. It will be hard to relegate Tee Higgins to a bench spot much longer if he continues to get more looks in Cincinnati.
13.) Uur UPS
Overall Record: 2-4
Divisional Record: 1-3
Total Points Scored: 516.3
Position Last Week: 13
Notes: This was a much needed win for UPS who finally saw some top performances from Kyler Murray, Justin Jefferson and the Tampa Bay defense en route to a blowout victory. One of the most puzzling stat lines of the week is how DJ Chark only managed 45 yards on 14 targets.
14.) Lin Sanity
Overall Record: 2-4
Divisional Record: 0-4
Total Points Scored: 533.4
Position Last Week: 14
Notes: Lin Sanity has put together two 100+ point games in back to back weeks and this directly correlates to Ryan Tannehil with back to back 30 point games and moving up to QB7 after this week. I’m a big fan of this team’s WR depth and thoughthis team looked dead in the water after four games, it’s hard to deny the talent and discount this team as a “Never say never GM” candidate at the end of the year if they can miraculously land a playoff berth.
15.) Pool of the Dead
Overall Record: 1-5
Divisional Record: 0-4
Total Points Scored: 465.8
Position Last Week: 15
Notes: On the bright side it was two solid offensive games in a row for the Pool which is some form of consistency to build upon. While the Miles Sanders injury is a huge setback for 1-2 weeks, it is encouraging to see Ronald Jones put together three consecutive 100+ yard games.
16.) Da Moon’s Huge Craters
Overall Record: 1-5
Divisional Record: 0-4
Total Points Scored: 461
Position Last Week: 16
Notes: Finally a win for the Craters and no team shall remain winless in the 2020 BFFL fantasy season. King Henry’s 200+ rush yard week was a great reminder of just how dominant he was in 2019 and what kind of upside he has.
