1.) Dr. Jenious
Overall Record: 4-1
Divisional Record: 4-0
Total Points Scored: 474.2
Position Last Week: 1
Notes: This was the first week that the #1 powerhouse in the league looked vulnerable and beatable. Nick Chubb’s absence from the starting lineup really took its toll and as they await his return, they will have to do their best to manage with a strong bench of players.
2.) Korriban Warriors
Overall Record: 4-1
Divisional Record: 3-1
Total Points Scored: 448.3
Position Last Week: 3
Notes: The Warriors just keep pulling out close game after close game and look like they are on a revenge tour after the 2019 season. Getting a win on Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams’ bye week may be the most impressive win of the season and this team has playoffs written all over it.
3.) Elk Grove Spartans
Overall Record: 4-1
Divisional Record: 3-1
Total Points Scored: 421.9
Position Last Week: 3
Notes: The Spartans reclaim the mantle of the FFC West after a strong showing against the #2 ranked team of Week 5. Mike Davis and Raheem Mostert continue to impress on a weekly basis and are really making a case for one of the strongest running back tandems in the league.
4.) Mahomies Deezflated Nuts
Overall Record: 3-2
Divisional Record: 3-1
Total Points Scored: 495.5
Position Last Week: 2
Notes: After looking invincible the first three weeks, MD Nuts has now dropped two games in a row. I have to be honest, I was not a big fan of the decision to trade away a stud in DeAndre Hopkins but it’s too early to say who will win that trade.
5.) Bruce Almightys
Overall Record: 4-1
Divisional Record: 3-1
Total Points Scored: 513.5
Position Last Week: 5
Notes: This was another dominant win with the highest score 3 weeks in a row (to my record a feat that has never been accomplished before in BFFL history). Bruce also made up ground in the divisional race with a loss to the Jenious’ record.
6.) Sacramento Wolfpack
Overall Record: 3-2
Divisional Record: 3-1
Total Points Scored: 401.9
Position Last Week: 4
Notes: Despite losing the division lead, the Wolfpack still find themselves in playoff position and the return of AJ Brown brought some firepower to a loaded wide receiver group. It will be interesting to see if Chris Carson can be enough to carry this banged up team to another playoff run.
7.) Ernie’s Rubber Duckies
Overall Record: 3-2
Divisional Record: 3-1
Total Points Scored: 381.9
Position Last Week: 7
Notes: Please set your lineup.
8.) Philippines Garbage Dumps
Overall Record: 3-2
Divisional Record: 2-2
Total Points Scored: 420
Position Last Week: 9
Notes: Say it with me: Kareem Hunt is a RB1 in 2020. I can not rave enough about the RB depth on this team although I am not sure the David Johnson trade returned equivalent value in a long term perspective. Gardner Minshew filled in nicely for a 20 point performance and getting the victory for a PGD team who is without the most impactful player on the COVID list in Cam Newton.
9.) Team Banana Boat
Overall Record: 3-2
Divisional Record: 2-2
Total Points Scored: 375.5
Position Last Week: 11
Notes: That’s three weeks this season of 18+ fantasy points for Darrell Henderson who has even out played Edwards-Helaire this season. Baltimore also had their third strong game of the season with a dominant 26 point game and they continue to be one of the elite reliable fantasy defenses.
10.) Gandalf the Goat
Overall Record: 2-3
Divisional Record: 2-2
Total Points Scored: 426.6
Position Last Week: 10
Notes: It was looking like another win for the Goat until Ryan Tannehil made an amazing Tuesday night comeback. With the news that Le’Veon Bell and the Jets have parted ways, it will be interesting to see his landing spot to assess his fantasy value going forward.
11.) Whit-ie the Trash Bag
Overall Record: 2-3
Divisional Record: 2-2
Total Points Scored: 428
Position Last Week: 8
Notes: After a loss that prompted a name change, the Trash Bag have shown some volatility in scoring and a couple of surprising bad games from Matt Ryan and Odell Beckham who continue to be difficult to predict. Diontae Johnson’s second injury within three week is also another cause for concern that may elevate Tee Higgins into the starting lineup.
12.) SLAM BALL 2K20
Overall Record: 2-3
Divisional Record: 1-3
Total Points Scored: 492.4
Position Last Week: 12
Notes: Keep feeding Zeke please.
13.) Uur UPS
Overall Record: 1-4
Divisional Record: 1-3
Total Points Scored: 399.9
Position Last Week: 13
Notes: When three of your starting receivers combine for 5.5 fantasy points, you are in a rough spot. UPS continues to struggle to score points on a consistent basis and without McCaffrey can’t seem to put together a strong team effort.
14.) Lin Sanity
Overall Record: 1-4
Divisional Record: 0-4
Total Points Scored: 409.9
Position Last Week: 14
Notes: Ryan Tannehil is officially back. If you can do that to the Bills defense, and given his track record after taking over the starting job in 2019, Tannehil must be viewed as a legitimate top 10 QB candidate for the rest of the season.
15.) Pool of the Dead
Overall Record: 1-4
Divisional Record: 0-4
Total Points Scored: 378.6
Position Last Week: 16
Notes: It was a much needed win and strong game from Pool of the Dead to avoid a dreaded 0-5 start in a division where they have fallen so far behind three teams. To beat the #1 seed is no small feat and let’s see if they can build some momentum off this win and start a winning streak in the middle part of the schedule.
16.) Da Moon’s Huge Craters
Overall Record: 0-5
Divisional Record: 0-4
Total Points Scored: 375.7
Position Last Week: 15
Notes: The season from hell continues for the 0-5 Craters as they get another bombshell dropped on them in Week 5 with the broken ankle to starting QB Dak Prescott. I have no words to sympathize with how unlucky of a season this has been for this squad.
