1.) Mahomies Deezflated Nuts
Overall Record: 2-0
Divisional Record: 2-0
Total Points Scored: 247.3
Position Last Week: 2
Notes: Aaron Jones was the shining star on Sunday and propelled MD Nuts to the highest points total of the week and put them in the driver seat for the division and the entire league. Russell Wilson’s MVP campaign continues with an impressive 9 touchdown to 1 interception start to the season.
2.) Dr. Jenious
Overall Record: 2-0
Divisional Record: 2-0
Total Points Scored: 209.8
Position Last Week: 7
Notes: After a slow start to the season by both running backs, Chubb and Taylor exploded in a complete team domination for the Doctor in Week 2. One of the best early stories of 2020 has been the Buffalo Bills and the step forward for 3rd year QB Josh Allen who threw for 400 yards for the first time in his career one week after throwing for over 300 yards for the first time in his career.
3.) Korriban Warriors
Overall Record: 2-0
Divisional Record: 2-0
Total Points Scored: 189.1
Position Last Week: 1
Notes: The Warriors were fortunate to hear that the Davante Adams hamstring setback should only be a one week affair and he will most likely be available in Week 3. One player I am really worried about has been Emmanuel Sanders who has disappeared in an offense even with the vacancy of Michael Thomas’ targets.
4.) Elk Grove Spartans
Overall Record: 2-0
Divisional Record: 2-0
Total Points Scored: 177
Position Last Week: 4
Notes: The Spartans survive the Monday night comeback efforts of Josh Jacobs and now take a commanding 2-0 lead in the division. With two short term running back injuries, Chris Godwin’s return to the lineup will be a welcome addition.
5.) ODB Loves 2B S**t On
Overall Record: 1-1
Divisional Record: 1-1
Total Points Scored: 202.4
Position Last Week: 12
Notes: Neighbor Nic was far from a mediocre man with the second highest scoring total of the week and takes the biggest jump in the power rankings up to the first wildcard slot. One of the biggest draft steals in Diontae Johnson continues to impress and rise up the ranks in the Pittsburgh aerial attack.
6.) SLAM BALL 2K20
Overall Record: 1-1
Divisional Record: 1-1
Total Points Scored: 201.3
Position Last Week: 5
Notes: The silver lining in the loss was Devante Parker and James Conner were able to get through the week healthy and avoided the injury bug in Week 2.
7.) Uur UPS
Overall Record: 1-1
Divisional Record: 1-1
Total Points Scored: 184
Position Last Week: 9
Notes: One of the biggest injury stories was the ankle sprain to #1 overall pick Christian McCaffrey. Fortunately I think UPS has enough talent to weather the storm and are deep enough at the receiver position to stay competitive until CMC runs.
8.) Bruce Almightys
Overall Record: 1-1
Divisional Record: 1-1
Total Points Scored: 176.9
Position Last Week: 3
Notes: Bruce Almightys saw lackluster production from all receivers in a pivotal Week 2 matchup for the division lead. The gutsy decision to start Mitch Trubisky was successful when you saw how Bridgewater performed and you know my feelings on Trubisky after last season.
9.) Sacramento Wolfpack
Overall Record: 1-1
Divisional Record: 1-1
Total Points Scored: 156.5
Position Last Week: 8
Notes: The biggest injury of the week was the season ender to first round pick Saquon Barkley which will be difficult to recover from. With flex talent like Noah Fant and Allen Lazard, I expect to see a lot of four wide receiver sets with Chris Carson being the new RB1 for the team.
10.) Philippines Garbage Dumps
Overall Record: 1-1
Divisional Record: 1-1
Total Points Scored: 150.8
Position Last Week: 16
Notes: Climbing out of dead last the PGD put out a strong offensive performance led by Cam Newton and Kareem Hunt. Newton looks like a newly revitalized MVP candidate passing for nearly 400 yards in an electric Sunday night performance.
11.) Team Banana Boat
Overall Record: 1-1
Divisional Record: 1-1
Total Points Scored: 142.2
Position Last Week: 6
Notes: Team Banana Boat take one of the biggest falls in the power rankings after a lackluster week and just a combined 11 points from the star running back duo that impressed in Week 1. The return of Kenny Golladay will help bolster the offensive output moving forward.
12.) Ernie’s Rubber Duckies
Overall Record: 1-1
Divisional Record: 1-1
Total Points Scored: 136.9
Position Last Week: 13
Notes: Darren Waller put on a show on Monday night football to win a close divisional matchup for the Rubber Duckies. Waller’s 12 catches on 16 targets for 103 yards and a touchdown in prime time will move him into the elite tier of tight end for the rest of the season as a household name.
13.) Gandalf the Goat
Overall Record: 0-2
Divisional Record: 0-2
Total Points Scored: 107.2
Position Last Week: 15
Notes: The Goats had a great Week 2 performance but just ran into a buzzsaw. Despite a slow start, Mahomes went nuclear in the fourth quarter to finish with 31.4 fantasy points and when you invest a first round pick in an MVP quarterback this is what your team is capable of.
14.) Lin Sanity
Overall Record: 0-2
Divisional Record: 0-2
Total Points Scored: 157.1
Position Last Week: 10
Notes: Lin Sanity fell short of their Monday night comeback which just needed one Josh Jacobs touchdown to tie up the division race. One of the bigger disappointments of the season so far has been Cooper Kupp who disappeared in that offense but given his talent and repertoire with Goff, I expect a strong bounce back very soon.
15.) Da Moon’s Huge Craters
Overall Record: 0-2
Divisional Record: 0-2
Total Points Scored: 141.3
Position Last Week: 14
Notes: The hits just keep on coming for the Craters as they suffer another devastating setback with Courtland Sutton being ruled out for the rest of the season. If Leonard Fournette can carve out a nice chunk of the Tampa Bay offense, this team will shape up with a solid running back duo but will need some help at receiver.
16.) Pool of the Dead
Overall Record: 0-2
Divisional Record: 0-2
Total Points Scored: 139.1
Position Last Week: 11
Notes: Drew Brees’ arm looks like it has hit an age wall at the start of this season. It’s hard to count out this team with all the talent of Julio Jones, Juju Smith-Schuster and Drew Brees and too early to hit the panic button.
