Before we recap the rules passed for the 2020 season, I highly recommend everyone read the list of temporary rules approved by the competition committee via the COVID 19 Stimulus Bill passed last week. More can be read here:

Buy-in increased to $60.
This one was pretty self explanatory. The only question that remains is how the added money will reorganize the payout structure. This directly ties into another rule passed that raised the weekly high scorer to $10 (previously was $5). The league will vote on how to assign the rest of the money with considerations given to league winner, league runner up, fantasy awards and any other brought up on Draft Day 2020. The total pot of money is $960, which is $60 dollars x 16 franchises.
Currently Approved Payouts
First Place: $200
Second Place: $40
Weekly High Scorers: $160 ($10 per week for 16 weeks)
Total Approved Payouts: $400
Unassigned Money: $560
Below I’m giving an example of something I envision for a 2020 payout structure. Obviously this is subject to change with GM input and voted in before anything is official.
Example of 2020 Payout Structure
First Place: $500
Second Place: $100
Weekly High Scorers: $160 ($10 per week for 16 weeks)
Fantasy Award -Fantasy MVP: $20
Fantasy Award – Fantasy GM of the Year: $20
Fantasy Award – Breakout Player of the Year: $20
Fantasy Award – Best Free Agent Pickup of the Year: $20
Fantasy Award – Best Trade of the Year: $40 (Split $20 to each franchise)
Fantasy Award – Game of the Year: $40 (Split $20 to each franchise)
Fantasy Award – Never say never GM of the Year: $20
Fantasy Award – Draft Steal of the Year: $20
Draft Envelope Selection Process
The language in the Constitution was amended to read:
The order in which envelopes are chosen is reverse order relative to its record in the previous year, which means that the last place team is positioned first.”
Article IV, Section A, Subsection 1, Paragraph a
It’s pretty self explanatory but the league standings at the end of the fantasy season will be the inverse order of the envelope selection process for the following year. Therefore the envelope selection process (which will be online this year) order is already known.

Vote for new League Manager
This measure split the commissioner and league manager into two separate entities with distinct responsibilities. Essentially I will retain the Commissioner title which does not have any influential power in decision making and steering the course of the league whereas the League Manager is now a democratically elected position with a set of roles and responsibilities. First we look at the amended language in the Consitution:
The Commissioner titled shall be bestowed upon the League Creator and Founder, Bali Sanghera. This role’s duties include, but are not limited to, hosting the BFFL yearly meeting and draft; updating the weekly power rankings; and providing updates to the league page.
The League Manager will be responsible for the managing the league. The League Manager holds their position for 3 years and is voted by a simple majority of all the league members. League Members cannot vote for themselves. There are no term limits for the League Manager. A vote of no confidence with a 2/3 vote of the league members enables the Commissioner’s ability to remove the League Manager from office. The League Manager cannot serve on the Competition Committee.
Article I, Section G
Let’s summarize the roles and responsibilities of each role
Commissioner (Bali):
-Continues to host the draft.
-Continues to uphold the Power Rankings and League Page Updates.
League Manager (Elected Position):
-Carries out and upholds the standards of the Constitution.
-Does not hold a Competition Committee seat but upholds/rejects the joint decision made by the Competition Committee.
-Creates the league schedule each year at least 3 weeks before the Draft Date utilizing the guidelines laid out in the Constitution.
-Leads meetings, gathers notes, calls for official votes and records voting results and notes of all league meetings.
-Amends Constitution annually after Owner’s meeting.
-Will carry out the roles of the Commissioner if Commissioner is incapacitated or unable to carry out duties.
Quorum
A simple majority vote shall be defined as more than half the votes. A 2/3 majority vote shall be defined as 2/3 or more of the votes cast. A unanimous vote shall be defined as all of the votes cast. Abstentions and absences are excluded when calculating the vote.
The options for voting are: Yay, Nay, and Abstain.
A quorum is defined as 2/3 of the League Members and any meetings can be called to order once 2/3 of the League Members are present.
Article I, Section H:
The language is pretty clear here and I don’t have much analysis to add except I learned a new word.
