Week 8 Power Rankings (10-30-2019)

1.) Mahomies Deezflated Nuts

Overall Record: 6-2
Divisional Record: 4-0
Total Points Scored: 645.2
Position Last Week: 1
Notes: The champ holds onto the number one spot despite dropping two games in a row without both first round picks Mahomes & David Johnson. With two other 6-2 teams on their heels hungry for playoff byes, can MD Nuts fend off the wolves…and ducks?

2.) Sacramento Wolfpack

Overall Record: 6-2
Divisional Record: 3-1
Total Points Scored: 756.7
Position Last Week: 2
Notes: Call him Mr. Reliable, Mr. Consistent, whatever you want but Dalvin Cook has run himself to the top of the fantasy MVP race after eight weeks where he has been held scoreless only one time this season.

3.) Ernie’s Rubber Duckies

Overall Record: 6-2
Divisional Record: 2-2
Total Points Scored: 717.4
Position Last Week: 3
Notes: The hottest team extends their winning streak to five as they continue to dominate and have scored over 90 points for four consecutive weeks. The Patriots defense may be the fantasy MVP at the halfway point of the season as their 170 points dwarfs the competition and is nearly a 70-point advantage over the #2 fantasy defense.

4.) Da Moon’s Huge Craters

Overall Record: 4-4
Divisional Record: 2-2
Total Points Scored: 658.4
Position Last Week: 11
Notes: The biggest jumpers in the power rankings see the Craters going from 11 to the 4th seed and in control of the FFC South. Two monster performances from Mike Evans and Aaron Rodgers push this team to the top of the division and close the points scored gap in the division.

5.) SLAM BALL 2K19

Overall Record: 5-3
Divisional Record: 3-1
Total Points Scored: 665.4
Position Last Week: 5
Notes: Mitch Trubisky…Not even once.

6.) Phillipines Garbage Dumps

Overall Record: 5-3
Divisional Record: 2-2
Total Points Scored: 600.4
Position Last Week: 6
Notes: Aaron Jones has been one of the most surprising breakout players of 2019. Not only is he dominating goal line carries and converting them to touchdowns, he’s become a lethal force in the passing game and become a dual threat option.

7.) Korriban Warriors

Overall Record: 5-3
Divisional Record: 1-3
Total Points Scored: 571.9
Position Last Week: 8
Notes: The Warriors complete the entire sweep of the FFC East going 4-0 over the last four games and getting back into both the wildcard and divisional races. With the return of Drew Brees, this team is on pace to get hot at the right time.

8.) Pool of the Dead

Overall Record: 4-4
Divisional Record: 3-1
Total Points Scored: 524.1
Position Last Week: 9
Notes: A much needed win for the Pool who relied on rookie signal caller Daniel Jones who had an impressive 4-touchdown 30 fantasy point day to lead the way to victory. With a strong divisional record but uber competitive division, this team will have to make up some ground in the upcoming weeks.

9.) Bruce Almightys

Overall Record: 4-4
Divisional Record: 2-2
Total Points Scored: 600.5
Position Last Week: 4
Notes: Bruce takes the biggest plunge in the power rankings just to demonstrate the volatility and tight race in the South. Newcomer Chubb did not impress with two fumbles but still looked good running the ball.

10.) Elk Grove Spartans

Overall Record: 4-4
Divisional Record: 2-2
Total Points Scored: 592.4
Position Last Week: 7
Notes: It was a tough loss without Alvin Kamara who would have enjoyed a great matchup as evidence by Latavius Murray’s big day. With Prescott coming off his bye and Kamara returning to good health soon, this team will be fully loaded to close the season out.

11.) Dr. Jenious

Overall Record: 3-5
Divisional Record: 2-2
Total Points Scored: 679.6
Position Last Week: 9
Notes: The doctor made big news this week publicly declaring that Julio Jones and Russell Wilson would be on the trade block. Will these moves get made before this week’s games and what haul could it return?

12.) Uur UPS

Overall Record: 3-5
Divisional Record: 2-2
Total Points Scored: 572.8
Position Last Week: 14
Notes: UPS finally caught a break after some ugly losses with a bounceback win to stay within one game of the division lead. Jared Goff put together two great games in a row which is exactly what this team needs to get back in the race.

13.) Lin Sanity

Overall Record: 3-5
Divisional Record: 1-3
Total Points Scored: 655.1
Position Last Week: 12
Notes: Unfortunately, Tevin Coleman’s monster four touchdown game could not get this team over the hump and make up some ground in the West race. I’d like to remind everyone that Lin Sanity made a late season surge to get into the playoffs and eventually go to the Superbowl last year. We will wait to see if history repeats itself.

14.) Team Banana Boat

Overall Record: 2-6
Divisional Record: 2-2
Total Points Scored: 687.8
Position Last Week: 13
Notes: It’s tough to imagine a 2-6 football team with Christian McCaffrey on it, but here we are. The division looks a little out of reach at this point and it will pretty much take running the table to stay competitive.

15.) 1
st Year Kitties

Overall Record: 2-6
Divisional Record: 1-3
Total Points Scored: 689.3
Position Last Week: 15
Notes: Another brutal loss for the Kitties who are one more loss or MD Nuts win away from being eliminated from the FFC East race.

16.) The People’s Goat

Overall Record: 2-6
Divisional Record: 0-4
Total Points Scored: 603.5
Position Last Week: 16
Notes: Two in a row for the People’s Goat who finally look like team they were projected to be in the preseason.
