FFC South
(Well I was right the South would be close. But doubt we get 3 teams in playoffs)
Chet
Original Grade: B
Current record 3-4
Midseason grade: B-; Well, to start I was 100% on with the running back situation on this team. Cohen has struggled in a very disappointing Chicago offense and has not had the opportunities I was expecting him to get. The trade for Michel could really help this team out as it got its first rushing touchdown of the season. The starting receiving core has been shaken up and Thomas was traded to the PGD. Rodgers started out the season very disappointing, but as of this week reminded everyone of why he is one of the best in the game. Carrying this team to a much needed win. And every week we talk about kickers. I know he misses Tucker lol. Unfortunately the big name receivers on this team have largely underperformed and the missing presence of a running back has hurt this team. However, the depth he got for WR and hopeful resurgence of Rodgers has helped this team stay close in the south.

Current record: 2-5
Midseason grade: C; Well, I couldnt have been more wrong with my original assessment of this team. Originally I had him has a frontrunner. Unfortunately, Goff has not panned out at all and Carson began the season with major fumble issues. The Browns started slow hurting Chubb in the first two games. Just one let down after another. Nav made a big trade with me this week to try and turn things around. Hopkins finally found paydirt and may only improve with Fuller being hurt, helping this team with WR issues. But, we also so Stafford slinging it and Waller scoring 2 tds. The rest of the season will determine if this trade benefits him. This team has had a rough go of things and the poor play by Goff has not given these team the chances it needs. Carson remains the starter in Seattle and I believe he still has a good year. Hopkins could make a huge turning point and will have to be consistent in order for this team to have any hopes at playoffs.
Justin
Original Grade: B+
Current record: 3-4
Midseason grade: B; Russel Wilson has been a huge asset again for this team and his play (minus this week) has been stellar. Julio has had a rough year with the Falcons struggling offensively and Kelce has been consistent like always. Austin Hooper has been a pleasant surprise but having him and Julio may hinder this team. The Dr., like Chet, has had the issue of little help in the running game. Duke Johnson was over thrown by Carlos Hyde and Singletary is currently behind Frank Gore and has also dealt with injury. This team still has a lot of weapons available that can put up big weeks. Brissett is arguably the best backup qb on a team this year and could be used to trade for some key players to make a playoff run.
Bryce
Origon Grade: B (for Bruce)
Current record: 4-3
Midseason grade: B+; Well to start if you would have told me at the begging of the season that I traded my top 3 draft picks and am sitting in the lead for the South I would have laughed at you. Hopkins and Freeman both did not live up to what I thought they would. Freeman is stuck behind a struggling offensive line and Hopkins was seeing Will Fuller burn every defense. I traded both along with Rivers (who I thought would do much better as well) and Tyler Boyd for Chubb, Stafford, Waller, and Tate. This rounded out my season of trades. Grabbing Diggs and Hyde give me a fairly well rounded team that’s helped with the start of bye weeks. Still a long season to go but I really like my additions so far.
North
Roberto
Original Grade: B+
Current record: 3-4
Midseason grade: C-; This team was one I really liked on paper after the draft and unfortunately it hasnt come to fruition. Saquon getting hurt definitely didnt help and Mayfield has had a really bad year as well. This teams theme just may be sophomore slump. Thielen is as good as ever but suffered an injury as well along with Engram. It’s hard to find a bright spot for this team right now. This team really is stretched thin. The running back tandem will help keep this team afloat but they will have some issues rolling through the bye weeks. Roberto will need some people to really step things up in order to keep his playoff hopes alive.
Dennis
Original Grade: C-
Current record: 2-5
Midseason grade: C-; Well I was right to be nervous about this team. But for the wrong reason. McCaffery is the entire Carolina team it feels like and his workload is unreal. Cooper has been a decent WR but after that it’s a shuffle between everyone else. Wentz had previously performed well but this week was atrocious. Dennis has had some bad luck with people scoring while on the bench and not scoring when in. The San Francisco defense has been a bright spot for this team surprisingly, considering they had the least amount of turnovers last year. Unfortunately, this team is going to have a tough road ahead of them to get into the playoffs.
Ernesto
Grade: B-
Current record: 5-2
Midseason grade: A; This grade is half because he beat the only remaining undefeated team in our league and the other half goes to the New England defense. This defense is putting up more points than any WR in the league. Yes, you read that right. The duckies got one of the best steals and then also the biggest bust in Antonio Brown. He also has firm control over the North. Minus starting Badgley the first two weeks he has managed his team very well. Everett was a big pickup this week to help secure his win. Matt Ryan is getting a lot of garbage time points and constantly needs to throw because the Falcons are behind early and often. If Kamara stays out much longer Murray will he a big asset. This team will make a playoff run this year and could get hot late.
Stan
Original Grade: B-
Current record: 3-4
Midseason grade: C; This team has had kind of a rollercoaster year so far. Had a really bad start to the season. Had a couple really good weeks and is now on another bad stretch. Stan got his Patriots player trading for Edelman who may be in a much better position with Antonio Brown a thing of the past. Kerryon Johnson appears to be out for a couple weeks and is gonna be a loss for this team while LeVeon has had a lackluster season and Zach Ertz just hasn’t played with that same connection with Wentz in my opinion. The good news is that the bench is capable of scoring points and if Stan can plug and play the right matchups he is still in the playoff hunt.
West
Christian
Original Grade: B+
Current record: 4-3
Midseason grade: B+; If one thing is a guarantee in this league it is that Christian is going to make trades all the way up to the deadline. Acquiring Michael Thomas has to be the biggest acquisition so far comparable only to Hopkins. This teams starting lineup is scary and AJ Green hasn’t even played yet. Christian always seems to keep himself in the running when normally it seems like he can be throwing away a team. Aaron Jones has been surprisingly favorable in Green Bay and even with Rodgers break out week he put up a good week. I expect this team to be fighting for the division lead.
Marvin
Original Grade: B (A+ for the kicker pick)
Current record: 3-4
Midseason grade: B+; I’m going to say it. Drafting a good kicker can be way underrated. Just look at Tucker, he’s averaging almost 10 points a week. The trade to get Zeke has added a huge bonus to this offense and some stability. Coleman and Breida are a solid combo as well on most weeks and Marvin could easily use was as leverage to trade for any needs. Kyler Murray has proven he is a starting QB in our league and is a pleasant surprise. This team needs a little help at the WR position. This has been the year of underperforming WRs and it’s been really hard to judge. Marvin is in one of the tougher divisions and is keeping up a good fight to stay alive.
Raj
Original Grade: B
Current record: 5-2
Midseason grade: A; this is arguably the most consistent team in the league. Dalvin Cook and James Connor may be the best tandem in the league right now. Sutton has been a surprise player this year and Brady continues to defy father time. Raj had a tough break this week but is putting up a great year. TY Hilton has shown great chemistry with Brisset and I still think DK turns into a big target for Russel Wilson.
Kush/Maadhav
Original Grade: C
Current record: 4-3
Midseason grade: C+; This team looks like it might be running into some mid season trouble. Kamara is hurt and Damien Williams just returned from injury and does not have the workload I would be expecting. Lindsey and Freeman could turn into a guessing game any week and is tough to trust either in a deflated offense. Prescott has turned into a viable backup at times but fostering 3 QB’s is always tough. Charm and McLaurin have been huge surprises this season and have kept this team rolling. They are one game back in the divisional race.
East
Casey and Nick
Original Grade: D
Current record 1-6
Midseason grade: D+; The GOATS traded away Elliott to get some desperate help at WR with Chris Godwin who is an absolute stud. I say the Minshew magic is still real as he has had an impressive rookie year so far with only one game under 15 points. My fear with this team is the hope they placed in Gordon after trading away Zeke is not going to pay off. Gordon has failed to put up 5 points in any of the 3 games he had been back and Ekeler just put up a big week. I like the receiving group and with Henry coming back I think this team needs to try switching some things around to give them any chance of making the playoffs.
Ryan and Evan Bradley
Original Grade: B+
Current record: 2-5
Midseason grade: B+; This team started out with a couple of tough weeks getting beat out by high score winners. This team in my opinion is probably the second best rounded behind the Wolfpack. They have a lot of roster depth and guys that have been fairly consistent making them the second highest scoring team in the league (as of me writing this). Fournette has been a solid option and has 4 games in a row of 10+ points with only 1 td during that stretch. As Jax grows more with Minshew I think Fournette gets more opportunities. This teams potential downfall will be at QB. Watson has been hit a lot this year and I dont know if he can sustain. The good news is Cousins got called out and is starting to play like his fully guaranteed contract paid him to do. I expect this team to give the Nutz some problems down the stretch.
Ryan Poole
Original Grade: C+
Current record: 6-1
Midseason grade: C+; I’m sticking with my original draft grade here. This team had been carried by Patrick Mahomes and should have had its first loss in week 5 except Baker Mayfield put up -11. This teams depth will certainly show in the coming weeks as it loses its star player. David Johnson just saw Edmonds score 3 touchdowns and 150 total yards while he put up (drum roll please)…..2 yards. 2 fucking yards. How the mighty have fallen. McCoy has been a surprising workhorse in KC and we will see if he can put the load on his back while Mahomes is hurt. There are some talented names in Sanders and Jeffrey but as I mentioned before. This has been a let down year for big name WR’s. I think this team is going to go through a tough stretch and be fighting for playoffs come the final 2 divisional games.
Bali and Sammi
Original Grade: B-
Current record: 5-2
Midseason grade: A-; Lamar Jackson has been a huge value for where he was drafted. He has only 1 week under 20 points. No other QB in the league has that. Adams and Allen are still solid granted 1 is hurt and the other had a bad week. But Marvin Jones just put up a huge week and may have shown Stafford that he can hang. Josh Jacobs has been the most consistent back for this team while it looks like Sanders is going to take a back seat to Howard and Mongomery is in a dreadful Chicago offense. I think this will be another team pushing for a divisional win in a conference that could take 3 teams to playoffs still.
