Week 2 Power Rankings (09-18-2019)

1.) Sacramento Wolfpack

Overall Record: 2-0
Divisional Record: 2-0
Total Points Scored: 215
Position Last Week: 2
Notes: The Wolfpack take over as the top dog after two weeks of divisional action. Dalvin Cook continues his tear and looks like one of the most impressive players in football.

2.) Mahomies Deezflated Nuts

Overall Record: 2-0
Divisional Record: 2-0
Total Points Scored: 213.3
Position Last Week: 1
Notes: MD Nuts fall one spot despite winning handsomely in another crucial divisional game. One of the most impressive stats I saw this season was that Mahomes second quarter four-touchdown explosion outscored several QBs entire 2019 seasons so far.

3.) Pool of the Dead

Overall Record: 2-0
Divisional Record: 2-0
Total Points Scored: 144.8
Position Last Week: 6
Notes: It wasn’t pretty, but a divisional win is still a win. With consistent production from the running back positions, Derrick Henry (3) and Saquon Barkley (5) are two top five ranked fantasy running backs on one team.

4.) Dr. Jenious

Overall Record: 1-1
Divisional Record: 1-1
Total Points Scored: 185.9
Position Last Week: 11
Notes: One of the biggest risers of the week, the Jenious seizes control of a tumultuous FFC South where everybody is tied at 1-1. This team got big games out of the studs Julio Jones and Travis Kelce after a slow week 1.

5.) SLAM BALL 2K19

Overall Record: 2-0
Divisional Record: 2-0
Total Points Scored: 212.1
Position Last Week: 5
Notes: Back to back outstanding performances from Lamar Jackson have this team in position to battle for control of the FFC East in Week 3.

6.) Ernie’s Rubber Duckies

Overall Record: 1-1
Divisional Record: 1-1
Total Points Scored: 174.8
Position Last Week: 13
Notes: Another one of the biggest risers this week, the Rubber Duckies win despite not having a healthy kicker on the team. The best performance was by the defense who scored 37 fantasy points. I can’t recall a defense scoring more.

7.) Bruce Almightys

Overall Record: 1-1
Divisional Record: 1-1
Total Points Scored: 164.8
Position Last Week: 4
Notes: Bruce falls just outside the playoff picture after two weeks after uncharacteristic bad games from Philip Rivers and Deandre Hopkins. The biggest concern for this team going forward has to be at the running back position where Devonta Freeman is struggling with a 2.2 ypc average after two weeks.

8.) Team Banana Boat

Overall Record: 1-1
Divisional Record: 1-1
Total Points Scored: 162.2
Position Last Week: 3
Notes: After an outstanding Week 1 performance, the Banana Boat saw mediocre production from Christian McCaffrey and Carson Wentz who will look to rebound in Week 3.

9.) Uur UPS

Overall Record: 1-1
Divisional Record: 1-1
Total Points Scored: 138
Position Last Week: 15
Notes: UPS saw signs of life from Nick Chubb and Brandin Cooks after a disastrous week 1. One of the best value picks of the draft so far has been Mark Andrews who is averaging 17 fantasy points a game over the first two weeks.

10.) Da Moon’s Huge Craters

Overall Record: 1-1
Divisional Record: 1-1
Total Points Scored: 131.5
Position Last Week: 7
Notes: The two disastrous QB injuries (Brees & Roethlisberger) hurt this team more than anybody in the league, arguably when you factor in this team spent their first two round picks on Michael Thomas and Juju Smith-Schuster. I think both WRs will be fine and even at 80% of their normal production will be viable WR1 starts.

11.) Phillipines Garbage Dumps

Overall Record: 1-1
Divisional Record: 1-1
Total Points Scored: 119.2
Position Last Week: 16
Notes: The Dumps climbed out of the dead last spot after a big win over one of their oldest rivals in Week 2. The most encouraging sign was all the work that Aaron Jones got and turned it into a 21-point day to lead the team.

12.) Elk Grove Spartans

Overall Record: 1-1
Divisional Record: 1-1
Total Points Scored: 120.4
Position Last Week: 8
Notes: Terry McLaurin has turned into one of the biggest steals of the draft and a legitimate WR2 over the first two weeks. I’m always skeptical of rookie receivers and inconsistency, but he seems like a safer option than Josh Gordon with the target share that Antonio Brown is commanding in New England.

13.) 1st Year Kitties

Overall Record: 0-2
Divisional Record: 0-2
Total Points Scored: 170.8
Position Last Week: 9
Notes: You know why fantasy football sucks sometimes? This team is #6 in the league in points scored and #3 in points against and they’re 0-2. It looks like the Kitties will be playing Watson and Prescott based on matchups which opens the door to some interesting trade opportunities for a QB needy team.

14.) Lin Sanity

Overall Record: 0-2
Divisional Record: 0-2
Total Points Scored: 169.5
Position Last Week: 12
Notes: The Odell Beckham Jr Monday night miracle was almost a possibility but fell just a few points short. Lin Sanity is due for their first win soon with such a talented roster and Kyler Murray looking like a top ten quarterback as he gets more experience this season.

15.) Korriban Warriors

Overall Record: 0-2
Divisional Record: 0-2
Total Points Scored: 143.3
Position Last Week: 10
Notes: Drew Brees injury unfortunately tanked this team’s chances for a victory when he exited the game with -3.6 fantasy points. Now the team will turn to Derek Carr or possibly the waiver wire for their new QB.

16.) The People’s Goat

Overall Record: 0-2
Divisional Record: 0-2
Total Points Scored: 141.1
Position Last Week: 14
Notes: One great thing the Goat was able to take away was Ezekiel Elliott getting fully incorporated into this Dallas offense which looks lethal the first two weeks.
