*Note about rank 2 and rank 3 tiebreaker between Wolfpack and Banana Boat (who both scored 100 points). This tiebreaker goes to the fourth protocol: total points (all touchdowns, field goals and extra points) scored by starters and bench. The Wolfpack outscored the Banana Boat 88-70, therefore would be seeded higher. Reminder that the next tiebreaker protocol after this would be a coin flip.
1. Mahomies Deezflated Nuts
Overall Record: 1-0
Divisional Record: 1-0
Total Points Scored: 119.8
Position Last Week: N/A
Notes: Different year, same result. The defending champ comes out as the strongest team in Week 1 with an impressive performance across the board. Tyrell Williams immediately saw the biggest boost to his value with the news that Antonio Brown was released from the team.
2. Sacramento Wolfpack
Overall Record: 1-0
Divisional Record: 1-0
Total Points Scored: 110
Position Last Week: N/A
Notes: Dalvin Cook and the ageless Tom Brady led the charge in an impressive blowout victory in Week 1. With Sammy Watkins monster Week 1 and the news that Tyreek Hill could miss several weeks, this team looks fully healthy and deadly.
3. Team Banana Boat
Overall Record: 1-0
Divisional Record: 1-0
Total Points Scored: 110
Position Last Week: N/A
Notes: The Banana Boat looks like it’s setting sail for a division title. With arguably the best running back duo of McCaffrey and Ingram who combined for over 55 fantasy points, this team looks stronger and better than ever.
4. Bruce Almightys
Overall Record: 1-0
Divisional Record: 1-0
Total Points Scored: 106.4
Position Last Week: N/A
Notes: Every year Philip Rivers slides so far in the draft, and some team ends up looking great picking him up late. This year that team is Bruce Almightys who got strong receiver production across the board from players like DeAndre Hopkins, Julian Edelman and Michael Gallup.
5. SLAM BALL 2K19
Overall Record: 1-0
Divisional Record: 1-0
Total Points Scored: 112.1
Position Last Week: N/A
Notes: Despite a slow start from Davante Adams and David Montgomery, the Slam Ballers were saved by a magical Lamar Jackson game for the ages.
6. Pool of the Dead
Overall Record: 1-0
Divisional Record: 1-0
Total Points Scored: 88
Position Last Week: N/A
Notes: Derrick Henry shut down that Browns hype quickly. Despite a bad game from Baker, the Pool will now face the Banana Boat where the winner will be in sole possession of the FFC North after Week 2.
7. Da Moon’s Huge Craters
Overall Record: 1-0
Divisional Record: 1-0
Total Points Scored: 74.4
Position Last Week: N/A
Notes: This team went receiver heavy in the draft and it was the receivers who brought the first win of the season for this team. An interesting note from Week 1 was Tarik Cohen played every snap except one lined up as a wide receiver.
8. Elk Grove Spartans
Overall Record: 1-0
Divisional Record: 1-0
Total Points Scored: 72.3
Position Last Week: N/A
Notes: Once again the Spartans display an incredible amount of smart decision making with the start of newly acquired QB Kirk Cousins over drafted QB Cam Newton who would have lost them the game. This game was a little closer than they would have liked but Alvin Kamara brought home the game with a good performance on MNF.
9. 1st Year Kitties
Overall Record: 0-1
Divisional Record: 0-1
Total Points Scored: 106.7
Position Last Week: N/A
Notes: It’s brutal to score 106.7 points in a 16-man league and not get a win. It was a terrible stroke of bad luck for the Kitties with the game result and injury to Tyreek Hill. There was a lot of positives that will make this team a contender for the division title with great games from Marlon Mack and Deshaun Watson.
10. Korriban Warriors
Overall Record: 0-1
Divisional Record: 0-1
Total Points Scored: 91.6
Position Last Week: N/A
Notes: One positive note for the Warriors: Leveon Bell was one of two running backs (the other being Christian McCaffrey) who played every single snap for his team. Bell’s draft position is justified and should be one of the rare work horses that can carry a fantasy team this season.
11. Doctor Jenious
Overall Record: 0-1
Divisional Record: 0-1
Total Points Scored: 74.5
Position Last Week: N/A
Notes: The doctor was overmatched and got no help from his running backs this past week. However that situation may be resolved soon as it was reported late Monday evening they traded for Devin Singletary who looks like a solid option to plug in next to Duke Johnson.
12. Lin Sanity
Overall Record: 0-1
Divisional Record: 0-1
Total Points Scored: 67.4
Position Last Week: N/A
Notes: Lin Sanity got hit with the injury bug this week as both running backs exited the game with ankle injuries of different degrees and combined for a meager 7.3 fantasy points. Rookie QB Kyler Murray and his air raid offense looked promising in the second half and could prove to be a great steal in the fantasy draft.
13. Ernie’s Rubber Duckies
Overall Record: 0-1
Divisional Record: 0-1
Total Points Scored: 66.9
Position Last Week: N/A
Notes: The sudden absence of Antonio Brown really torpedoed this team’s Week 1 who were forced to start. The bright spot may be Antonio Brown now in New England could have a repeat of 2007 Randy Moss.
14. The People’s Goat
Overall Record: 0-1
Divisional Record: 0-1
Total Points Scored: 56
Position Last Week: N/A
Notes: The Goats had a forgettable Week 1 performance with only one scorer in double digits. With the Goats being the other team involved in the Monday night trade, they have now secured the Washington Redskins backfield and will look to that to complement Zeke all season long.
15. Uur UPS
Overall Record: 0-1
Divisional Record: 0-1
Total Points Scored: 54.4
Position Last Week: N/A
Notes: It was really the receivers who lost the game for UPS this week as no receiver scored over 4 fantasy points. I don’t suspect this will be the case on a weekly basis with the talent they have. Another bad beat as the only carry Chubb surrendered to his backup Hilliard was the goal line carry that was a touchdown.
16. Phillipines Garbage Dumps
Overall Record: 0-1
Divisional Record: 0-1
Total Points Scored: 37.7
Position Last Week: N/A
Notes: Is it too much of a cliché to say the Dumps are in the dumps after week 1? It was overall a disaster of a week as newly acquired QB Jameis Winston threw three interceptions and the running back duo of Aaron Jones and Sony Michel (which I really like still for the season) combined for 5.3 fantasy points in Week 1. I don’t expect Mike Evans and George Kittle to be bottled up like they were this and have some good expectations of this team this season.
